Basic Info:

  • Excellent place to find first aid kits. Zombies frequently check inside.
  • Portable Generators have a use other than powering the lights and increasing search probability in hospitals. Players with the Surgery Skill can heal for 15 HP if the Hospital has a fueled up Generator.
  • Hospitals can be barricaded normally.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in Hospitals:
    • "...its wards and corridors blackened with the soot of a recent fire"
    • "...its empty wards criss-crossed with snapped quarantine tape."
    • "...one of the city's psychiatric hospitals."
    • "...dark corridors leading through abandoned wards."
    • "...its emergency room in disarray."
    • "...its lobby covered with quarantine posters."
    • "...a children's hospital with bright murals across the walls. "
    • "The main lobby is riddled with bullet holes."
    • "It was one of the last to be evacuated, and seems to have been cleared out in a hurry."
    • "...a derelict hospital that was closed down years ago."

Lazarus General Hospital

Description

Lazarus General Hospital is a one of three hospitals in Shearbank, and positioned in the center of the suburb. Lazarus (Laz-a-rus) means, Man restored to life by Jesus Christ. In the Bible, a friend of Jesus Christ and the brother of Mary and Martha who died but was brought to life again by Jesus. Perhaps this hospital holds some biblical power that we are not aware of. This hospital has been registered on the Malton Hospitals Group database, and can be guaranteed to have a doctor present.

Barricade policy

Do not overbarricade this building. It should be maintained as an accessible safe house and free running entryway, and as such the barricades should be maintained at Very Strongly Barricaded (VSB++) unless the hospital comes under attack. See the Shearbank Barricade Plan for more details.

Should be tagged as a VSB building and an entry point.

History

February 20th, 2011 - The barricades are still up, the generator is still running, and there are 16 survivors here, including me. Minor Zombie presence in immediate area.--Kuijibo 08:21, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

September 19th, 2010 - The barricades are up, a generator is running and there are 6 survivors inside, with a couple of zombies in the surrounding area.

July 5th, 2010 - Zombies finally broke in, almost everyone has fled. There's at least 15 zombies in the surrounding area, probably more.

July 4th,2010 - I brought the barricades up to VSB++. There's several zombies in the surrounding area, with 3 outside the door. 15 people are inside, no generator though.

July 19th,2009 - The barricades are currently at qsb building has been repaired and cleaned no zombies were found inside and in the surrounding area but would like reinforcements as soon as possible.

September 21st, 2008 - The barricades have been downed and over half the survivors killed, from what I can tell. The others have either fled or are playing zombie bait. 20 inside, unknown numbers outside. --Wildman curt 05:10, 21 September 2008 (BST)

June 16th, 2008 - Some zombies around. 9 dead bodies outside the Hospital. Standzs 17:50, 16 June 2008 (BST)

June 15th, 2008 - No zeds outside. The area is safe and the Hospital is VSB+2. We have a portable generator and a radio transmiter. Standzs 19:00, 15 June 2008 (BST)

June 8th, 2008 - Single zombie outside of the hospital, but nothing to worry about. Very Strongly Barricated. Just an update on how it is doing. --Hippo Cloud 20:20, 8 June 2008 (BST)

February 21st, 2008- Lazarus was ruined during BB2's rampage. Hopefully, we can get it up and running soon after the Bash leaves. --Pedentic 22:37, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

January 17th, 2008- Very strongly barricaded. Powered with a radio. Doctors present.

January 16th, 2008- A zombie broke into the hospital. -- Agent Zombor (Necrotech /zom/)

August 26th, 2007- The hospital is open with one zombie and I inside. Not ransacked but no power or cades' Last resident doctor killed today. -- Captinkid (Doctor)

Febuary 12th, 2007- The hospital has been hit by a zombie raiding party and all survivers were killed including me. -- Sacrenough C.A.A. Councilmen

June 1st, 2006- When I checked on the hospital this morning, it was ransacked, filled with 4 zombies, and had no barricades. I closed the doors, killed one of the zombies, and brought the barricades up to full before I ran out of AP and ammo and had to return to my safehouse. -- Officer 20m813 of the MPD
