Shearbank is a suburb in the north-central area of Malton. It contains Stickling Mall and the east half of St Luke's Cathedral.

Before the outbreak, Shearbank- though not possessing much in the way of attractions itself- acted as a sort of hub to tourist attractions in the surrounding areas, resulting in the construction of no less than six hotels, four police departments, and Stickling Mall- the last of the malls to be completed before the outbreak, in early March 2005. But a year before the renovation, it was up in the ranks with Randallbank, Roachtown, and Huntley Heights as being one of the poorest suburbs in Malton. Drugs, robberies, and assaults were numerous in this suburb. Luckily, this suburb was renovated and became one of the best in the city.

With quick access to hospitals, police stations, and active revive points, the area around Stickling Mall is currently recommended as a great place to gain experience points for those new to Malton.

Shearbank has an extensive and colorful past history. If you are new to the area, please take a look at the Shearbank Barricade Plan.

There are more then fifty zeds coming from Roachtown, and they have been crossing the border of Shearbank now. A little help is requested! Those who seek action should head down south.--MisterGame 23:49, 4 July 2008 (BST)

External Military: "... flying over Shearbank, it's looking empty ... power's on across most of the area ... can't see a single ruined building either ... power's back on at the Whippey Building ..."--Scott Timewell 01:27, 5 July 2008 (BST)

Lol, its already outdated, Nisbet NT is ruined now, and most surrounding buildings are being attacked...--MisterGame 19:59, 5 July 2008 (BST)

Brooke Hills is mostly standing...some buildings ruined...many small hordes(10-20)...A lot of singles....

Shearbank needs to prepare for the eminent horde. But don't listen to this guy below me...Sleeping in malls is a great way to be PKed. paper walls + Talk + Malton Underground 11:11, 11 June 2008 (BST)

Making my way through the city and it looks calm, however shearbank is still in a bad position, hordes of zombs are destroying the towns located to the west and the east from here. Precaution is needed, Stickling Mall is a good place to stay.

Fifield is supposed to be uncaded and open. Zombies in it is the norm and is part of our grand little experiment here at /zom/. So for the love of god STOP BARRICADING FIFEILD. --Ph 04:09, 15 May 2008 (EST)

the Fifield Motel has been breached... I think one survivor was killed, there still several others here. Now here has two zombies and it is very dangerous. --C.CAT 04:22, 15 May 2008 (GMT)

[edit] May 7th

---Lazarus General Hospital has been breached... One survivor was killed in a mid-day attack... Several others remain inside. Two zombies stand outside with a pile of ten or so dead bodies. The situation for those inside looks grim. --FS 22:48, 7 May 2008 (BST)

Stickling Mall is up and running. A quick jaunt through the area revealed very little zombie mischief and not a single standing hooligan outside of Stickling Mall. Shearbank is at this time a nice place to catch some respite before plunging back into the northern wilds. --Ph 4:12, 6 May 2008 (EST)

External Military report: "... maybe seventy in Shearbank ... they're just wandering around ... several buildings with power ... some minor structural damage ... looks like Stickling Mall has fallen ..." --WanYao 21:32, 2 May 2008 (BST)

My scouts indicate about 50+ undead roaming around the suburb, this report however excludes those waiting at revive points, which also number about 50 total. The mall is destroyed and there are about 20 inside, nothing significant as of late.--Jackson 21:52, 21 April 2008 (BST)

External Military: "... around a hundred and fifty in Shearbank ... mostly just small groups ... can't see any signs of life ... it's a wasteland down there ... Stickling Mall is down ..."--Scott Timewell 01:17, 11 April 2008 (BST)

[edit] April 6th

External Military: ... crossing Shearbank now, can see around three hundred down there ... a few big groups, but they're spread out ... only one building with lights on ... most of the buildings are ruined ... the Gabe Building has fallen - repeat, the Gabe Building ..."--Scott Timewell 22:45, 6 April 2008 (BST)

[edit] April 5th

Members of the Shearbank Defence Forces based at Whippey NT are today valiantly fighting to restore Stickling Mall and the town center. Bloody battles have erupted inside and around the Mall with the SW entry still wide open and around 50 walking dead lurching around the vicinity. Allder Row RP remains heavily congested and while Lazarus General Hospital is secure for the moment all wounded personnel should beware of the over barricaded entry points. --Zeug 04:43, 5 April 2008 (BST)

Zambah spais aside, Lazurus General is gone, SE shear has many buildings caded, but nary a generator to be found. William Joel 18:51, 6 April 2008 (BST)

[edit] April 1st

More evidence of survivor activity. Buildings are being repaired and caded. Zed presence has prevented any major resource point from being brought online. Zed density remains much reduced from the levels witnessed during the Dead's tear through of Shearbank. Revive points are slow, but survivors are attending them.--The Envoy 01:14, 1 April 2008 (BST)

[edit] Past Regimes of Shearbank

The Democratic Armed Republic of Independent Suburbs (DARIS) claimed to control the suburb for a period that began September 8th, 2005 and ended September 21st, 2005 (13 days). DARIS attempted to kill any non-member who entered the suburb, human or zombie during this period. The Shearbank Liberation Army formed in opposition to this and stated that it aimed to defeat DARIS and end the group's self-proclaimed control of Shearbank. Other non-affiliated residents – human, as well as zombie – began entering the suburb, causing the suburb to become even more of a war zone than the rest of the city and, arguably, the focal point of Maltonian politics. Ultimately, the rule of DARIS in Shearbank came to a close, and without a strong infrastructure, Shearbank was disorganised, and remained so for quite some time.
