For using checkuser or IP checking powers, violating privacy when he had no reason to, as the user had committed no vandalism. And now I'm gonna walk away and not check this page until the dust settles.  Nalikill  TALK  E!  W!  M!  USAI  20:24, 12 October 2007 (BST)

Nali, for a vendetta agaisnt all Sysops, should be banned for 24 hours. Seeing as it was used in good faith to ban a consistent sock puppet, I don't see how he screwed up.--User:Axe27/Sig 20:31, 12 October 2007 (BST)
Nali thinks he is exercising his rights, but its his stupid muscle thats really starting to get that chiseled look. --Max Grivas JG / M.F.T. 20:36, 12 October 2007 (BST)
You know, back in the day Amazing was banned from the administration pages because of his constant shitting up of them. And looking at Nali's "wah wah don't call me a wikilawyer" arbitration case, it looks like even Nali is seeing that he is going down this path. Is it possible to get a "Sysops vs. Nali" arbitration, wherein we establish if Nali is prohibited from making non-contributive and/or entirely misconstrued cases on administration pages? If Nali ever actually comes up with a real problem, he could probably post on one of anyone's talk pages to ask us to do it- it'd probably cut down on the continuous wikilawyer drama. --Karlsbad 00:38, 13 October 2007 (BST)
Actually, look at my recent arbitration case against myself. I banned myself from wikilawyering edits and my own talkpage.  Nalikill  TALK  E!  W!  M!  USAI  01:02, 13 October 2007 (BST)
  • Not Misconduct - Exploring suspicious edits is his job. No private information was released. --Max Grivas JG / M.F.T. 20:36, 12 October 2007 (BST)
  • Not Misconduct - SysOps seldom check users who behave suspiciously... BobHammero even cheked me in the past thinking i had borrowed my account to amazing (yeah right, in his dreams). --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 21:14, 12 October 2007 (BST)
  • Not Misconduct - He checked the ip of a new user making suspicious edits, that's what checkuser is for.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 21:19, 12 October 2007 (BST)
  • Not Misconduct - Four people gave their input on each of the last two miscon cases, so hell, let's go with four here, too! Also, it says on MediaWiki's guidelines for the checkuser that it is used to check suspicious users. --ZombieSlay3rSig.pngT 21:25, 12 October 2007 (BST)
  • Not Misconduct - I use it regularly to make sure new users voting on things arent alternate accounts of other people voting, and i also use it on everyone reported on the vandal banning page. You would be suprised at how frequently they are the alts of a regular user (check the Vandal Data page and a few of them are listed there). It isnt often, but it happens more than you would like to think. we get one every couple of months. Its only misconduct if he hands out the IP's or uses them elsewhere. Checking a suspected sock puppet is not misconduct. --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 22:58, 12 October 2007 (BST)
