[edit] Pages

All your 'Survivor Sightings Pages' have been moved to your group's subspace, like this one. Cheers --Janus Abernathy ~ ~ ~ ~ AZS 17:22, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the correction! I kind of fell off the face of the internet for a while there due to an unexpected interruption of home internet service and limited access from work, so sorry I haven't responded until now, but I appreciate the assist. --Necrofeelinya 21:48, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

I'm considering the option of organizing from the Barhah.com forums. Follow this link and scroll down to the relevant message... you may need to register. I don't usually metagame off-wiki, but it's probably time to show the harmanz we're serious. I can't promise I'll keep up with it, but I'll try. Using forums like this are how groups in-game are usually coordinated with the greatest success. Let me know what you guys think.--Necrofeelinya 13:03, 20 July 2009 (BST)

[edit] Welcome to our Wiki

Hi Necrofeelinya! As we can see, you made your first edits to this wiki not long ago. It's OK to be new, and we encourage new blood to join and enrich our community. At the same time, we understand that no one is a perfect wiki editor straight off the bat, and, just in case you get stuck, here're some useful tips to help you out. Please take the time to read them.

General Editing
  • Never delete someone else's edits, comments, responses, etc. off community pages. To do so is considered vandalism.
  • If you write a comment it's useful to sign it so that other editors will know who wrote it. You can write "~~~~" at the end of your comment to sign it, or there's this button Image:button_sig.png on the top of the edit page that will sign for you if you want.
  • You may want to know how your edits will look before they have been saved, to make sure that nothing is wrong. Use the "Preview" button before the "Save" button - it's your friend!
  • If you're slow in your editing and there's an editing conflict, you might not understand the error that you get. The easiest way to overcome the edit conflict is to copy whatever you have been writing, go back with your browser, and then re-enter the edit page so that you can add your edits without deleting those made before yours.
  • The wiki is a collaborative project, please do your best to work well with fellow editors.

Further help for editing the wiki can be found on the Help page.

Project Mentor

Project Mentor has been set up to allow new wiki users to have a more experienced wiki veteran mentor them for the first few weeks. Visit its page for more information!

Your User Page

One of the great things about the wiki is that every user can have his or her own user page! These pages are located in the User: namespace — in other words, they all begin with "User:" (yours is User:Necrofeelinya). The appropriate place to write about yourself or your characters is on your user page, or a subpage of that page (e.g., User:Necrofeelinya/Your Character's Name). Please don't create pages about yourself outside the User: namespace. Those pages will be moved into subpages of your user page, and the original speedily deleted. If you want something to be deleted, use the speedy deletion page; that's why Criterion 7 was made.

User Talk Pages

Every user has a talk page, found by clicking the "discussion" link at the top of his or her user page, or by going directly to it (yours would be User talk:Necrofeelinya). If you have a question for someone, or want to say something to him or her, his or her user talk page is the place.

However, many users on the wiki have established specific guidelines for how their user talk pages are to be treated — where new comments should go, how they should be written, what is or is not okay to talk about, etc. Be sure to look for guidelines on the talk page before you leave a comment.

If you don't see any guidelines specified, the assumption is that you should place your comment at the bottom of the talk page, under a level 2 heading. This can be accomplished by clicking the "+" link next to the "edit" tab at the top of the talk page, or by manually typing in your message in this format:

==Message title==

Your message goes here

When replying to a comment already laid on the page, remember to indent it correctly: do it by inserting as many colons plus one to the message you're replying to at the begining of your message, like this:

==Message title==

Your message

:User's reply

The Suggestions Page

We know that as a new user, you want to share your ideas with us. But a community as big as ours has already seen all kind of suggestions, and it's possible that we've already seen something very similar to the ideas you have. Follow these simple guidelines to make sure that your suggestion gets the respect that it deserves:

  • We strongly recommend that you read the Suggestions Dos and Do Nots and the Frequently Suggested Ideas pages so that you will have an idea of what kind of suggestions are likely to be accepted and what kind are ridiculous in the eyes of the community. The pages might look long and time-consuming to read, but you will find them entertaining and helpful.
  • You might also want to look at the Previous Days Suggestions. These contain a record of all previous suggestions. Use the search function in your browser to search for keywords relating to the suggestion you want to make.
  • It may be helpful to wait a few days to get a feel for the wiki and the other users before subjecting your idea to any possible criticism. If you're unsure, the Suggestions Discussion page is good neutral territory to suggest, gather feedback, and refine your idea before officially submitting it.
  • Write your suggestion according to these steps. If it looks too complicated for you, ask for help.
  • You can't modify a suggestion that you've written once it has been posted on the Suggestions page. You can withdraw and resubmit it with changes later, but only do that if people liked your original suggestion while requesting changes, not if it was Spaminated.
  • If you get stuck at ANY point in writing your suggestion, ask for help. There's no shame in being new and after a few times, you'll get the hang of it.

Remember: These guidelines may look difficult to learn and follow, but they're mainly just common sense! Think about what you're going to say or do before you do it! If you don't make an effort to do so, then why would others have the obligation to be nice to you? Feel free to ask any Project Welcome member if you need help, that's our purpose anyways!

If you want to delete this text, just delete the {{Welcomenewbie}} line from your talk page. Remember that you can always have access to these tips on the Project Welcome/Welcomenewbie page.

[edit] Plans for Borehamwood Survivor Sightings Page

Plans carried out, mostly. Just a little more to go.

[edit] If I'm reading this correctly...

  • There is no upper limit to how many (sub)pages your group can have, but plenty of empty ones will usually get deleted. It's just wiki precedent
  • Yes, you will need a group category. Just add
    [[Category:Indian/Pakistani Leftovers]]
to all your group pages, and add that category to
    [[Category:Group Subpages]]
  • Your pages where probably deleted (if I remember correctly) because they had no content. One big page for all of Borehamwood sounds like a far better idea.

Is that all? Sorry if I missed something, there's a lot of text there :). Linkthewindow  Talk  02:27, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Killings in Borehamwoood

barhah.com appears to be down at the moment, but as soon as i notice it up i'll register an account. --~~~~ [talk] 12:15, 27 July 2009 (BST)

[edit] New City Idea

Let me know if you need any help with map formatting. --Shhhhhhhh... Rosslessness -Wants a new city 13% 21:09, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Thanks Ross, and by the way, I like this idea of yours very much. After all, if we can present Kevan with a brand-new city built from scratch, maybe he'll implement it, and even if he doesn't, it's kind of fun just creating one.--Necrofeelinya 21:14, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Anything that makes it less effort for kevan, thats the way forward! --Shhhhhhhh... Rosslessness -Wants a new city 13% 21:19, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Gulfprat, nice start I must say hovever, they're a bit samey, and I see no TRP's yet. Hoes it going to look? One big city, or a few small ones? --Shhhhhhhh... Rosslessness -Wants a new city 13% 08:47, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
I'd started with the Gulfpratt concept, based on a real town. That's part of why nearly all the buildings look alike and there are no TRPs. Another reason is that I think survivors have it way too easy and they don't need or deserve the number of TRPs they have in the game. What's been going on in Borehamwood is more than enough proof of that. But I've largely abandoned the Gulfpratt concept in favor of designing a larger, more interesting town from scratch. I won't start putting it up yet, I think I prefer to design it on paper first. And of course, who knows when or if I'll finish. But it will also be low on TRPs, have a height for each building which restricts free running, and use named or numbered streets that help both zombies and harmans navigate without GPS. If I plan on following through with this, I want it to be pretty unusual.--Necrofeelinya 05:32, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit] A/VB

An edit you made could be considered vandalism, but I wouldn't worry about it. You'll probably get a soft warning about it since it's minor. You aren't supposed to mess with the minimap, or the very top NPOV name of the building. That confuses some newer wiki users who don't know you're joking. So, just remember that for future reference :) --Haliman - Talk 23:34, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Beach

Hows this?--Shhhhhhhh... Rosslessness -Wants a new city 13% 18:39, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Grounded freighter

[edit] Yeah

Its up to you on the border. Having a border (whatever its made of) saves you creating almost 400 squares of terrain. But anything impassable works. Im thinking about having a maze like in the shining, with hedge squares. Same as border squares, but just called hedge. Congrats on working out the template! --Shhhhhhhh... [edit] Amy you're crazy

I don't like burritos.

All my BHW alts are lying down.

Never used a zombie to protect myself whilst sleeping.

Only one other user knows my password, because I gave them dermot to look after for 3 weeks while I was on hoilday. Was too busy doing 300+ap repairs to really bother about anything else. Frankly Im suprised I survived as long as I did. Don't forget. I did my fair share for the zombies of borehamwood. rather than telling Kevan I could have reclaimed the BB House on my own.

Do i think feeding you random barricaded locations was poor form? No not really. I showed you areas of low repair/repaired buildings that other zombies could keep an eye over while the pack goes killing. Regardless of current tactics the survivor number is always going to go down.

BTW. you want some monroeville zombie alts?

As for unimplementia, ive got 3 more sections Ill add over the next weekend, plus 4 blocks ive done myself, leading to somewhere in the region of 15% of the city being completed.

Its a fun project. As such Ill wave it at Kevan when its finished. Ill throw up mpm, location texts and the like in one chunk when its finished.

What i really want is seperate areas within the city. I want the people of, say Martybank to establish thier own little idependence, maybe stay put a lot more. Start up a rivalry with another town. If you get bored, can I steal GulfPratt? --Shhhhhhhh... Rosslessness -Wants a new city 13% 17:39, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
