Revision as of 16:03, 19 October 2012
In death, the city stirs. Its borders still locked down after a sudden government quarantine seven years ago, Malton's trapped civilians make their way through the derelict buildings, surviving the changing seasons to rebuild their fragmented society from the rubble upwards. Military clean-up squads patrol the empty streets, stationed in the city for the long haul, while embedded scientific groups continue the experiments that brought them here. And the dead rise up and thrive, trailing through the ruined streets of the city, milling between buildings and clawing through makeshift barricades and diversions, reclaiming the city as their own. First time playing? Read the First Day in Malton guide. |

Welcome to UD Wiki. This site serves as a secondary resource for players of Urban Dead (a browser-based zombie apocalypse MMORPG), and it's a constant work-in-progress being created, updated, and imagined by other gamers like you who play as zombies, survivors, PKers, and everything else imaginable. Whether you're looking for information on the cities in the game, guides covering novice or advanced mechanics, or groups who would love to have you join them, you'll be able to find all of those here, as well as much more.
<p">You don't need to be an expert at the game to use the wiki — in fact, most of it is intended to be accessible to newcomers — and if you see a place that could use a little work, feel free to chip in (you'll need to register an account first). We're always in need of new folks willing to get involved, even in small ways, such as updating the current status of buildings, tidying up the list of groups that are active in your area, or updating the information for your suburb. In the meantime, there's nothing stopping you from reading up, so check out the links to the side and get a sense of what sorts of information is available. If you have a question on a topic, all you need to do is register an account, go to a page that relates to your question, click the "discussion" tab at the top, then post your comment by editing the page. It may be a bit tricky your first time, but you'll get the hang of it quickly. Make sure you check back within a few days to see if anyone has responded.
