Description

A warehouse located in the suburb of Dulston. As an oddity the warehouse stores a vast quantity of Rubix Cubes which are stacked neatly in towers reaching towards the dusty ceiling rafters. Survivors note that upon further inspection a majority of the Rubix Cubes have already been solved, while unsolved Rubix Cubes lie in small piles scattered throughout the building. Even more observant survivors claim that each day there are fewer and fewer unsolved Rubix Cubes in the warehouse, stating that someone must be visiting the building to solve at least one Rubix Cube daily and then adding them to the ever-growing stacks. Of course if this were true then it would most certainly point to a survivor who had possibly cracked under the pressure of surviving in Malton.

Is there really a zombie somewhere who hungers for knowledge more than human flesh?

One conflicting theory states that it is not a survivor, but a zombie who is in fact solving the Rubix Cubes, as zombies have the most free time to waste, being undead. Of course NecroTech staff at The Beale Building are quick to point out that zombies lack the necessary hand-to-eye coordination required to stack, let alone the long-term mental capacity required to solve, such puzzles. Scientists have instead proven zombies only re-mastered the hand-to-mouth coordination required to eat things (i.e. people). As of yet, no one has reported discovering a zombie with a Rubix Cube in its stomach.

Noted NecroTech scientist, Caleb Usher, has been spotted from time to time with a Rubix Cube in his hands. Initial speculation had the thoughtful scientist turned survivor as the culprit behind the surplus of solved puzzles. Or that was until survivors began to note that Caleb never actually managed to solve one and instead usually ended up throwing the Rubix Cube out a window with a curse.

Barricade Policy

Barricades should be kept at Extremely Heavily at all times. The true purpose of this building is to serve as a heavily fortified shelter for Malton's veteran survivors. This ruling was set forth by the Dulston Optimal Defense Diagram and is enforced by all member groups of the Dulston Alliance.

February 14th, 2007 - The Shamblin' Crooners, possibly attracted by the puzzley-goodness that is the Rubix Cube, made the old warehouse their "lucky thirteenth" stop in their new SHAMBLIN' CROONERS APOCALYPSE tour. Coincidence? Some survivors think not. Scientists at the Bridgman Building though responded to these unfounded claims with the singular statement of "poppycock". And there you have it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mobius187 (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.

December 28th, 2006 - A survivor reported that someone raised the barricades to Extremely Heavily. As such, this building cannot currently be entered by survivors from outside. At the same time it was learned that the doors to Weston Crescent Fire Station were found open. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 54sr (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.

May 21st, 2006 - The Shamblin' Crooners made their usual grand entrance and entertained everyone inside with their famous "break-in & concert" style of zombie rock. Some humans were eaten. Some zombies were shot. Bottom line, everyone had fun. Rock on Crooners, rock on... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mobius187 (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.
