Zombies almost always check inside. Some are often used as literal fortresses, and are sometimes so heavily barricaded that it is impossible to enter without Free Running. Tagging a police station earns 2 XP. They are listed as a Tactical Resource Point. Police Stations can be barricaded normally.

Cottam Way Police Department

Description

This particular Police Department was built by Umbrella Corporation, under the pretext of protecting local citizens from the rising amount of robberies being committed by the local criminal element.

Before the outbreak it served as one of the main police precincts of West Becktown; after the outbreak, however, it was quickly emptied.

After a while, several survivors came across a few confidential papers when looking for things with which to make a fire. In these papers were written the true construction plans for the Department, clearly summarized in the title: "Building plans for the defence network of the Flowar Building"

After reading that, many survivors left the area shocked at the news . . . but a few other simply burned the papers and decided to make a stand against the zombie horde.

History

The Cottam Way Police Department is usually the first building to fall before zombies attack the Flowar Building. This building is mostly notable for its high amount of ammo in its police lockers which is quickly depleted by local survivors in an attempt to keep the Police Department zombie free.

Barricade Policy

Please do not over barricade this building! It should be maintained as an accessible safe house and free running entryway, and as such the barricades should be maintained at Very Strongly (VS+2). See the Uniform Barricading Policy for more details. The only time the barricades can be raised to HB or any other level is when there are more than 5 zombies currently attacking this building. If you see this building with the barricades below they're appropriate level you are encouraged to raise them to they're appropriate level.
