May

May 20th

It appears that most zed forces have moved on. The lone surviving stragglers and those that came into the suburb to help rebuild have been able to repair most of the ransacked buildings and regain operational control over most resource buildings. There are still a few zeds roaming around but things are quiet...for now.

Last I saw as I retreated to Nixbank was all the resource buildings near Hayce-Margaret-Theobald fallen, I guess 40 or so zeds who were moving south. I'm now seeing Nixbank fall...--Lorosidiotas 06:07, 18 April 2008 (BST)

April 11th

A very preliminary scout revealed a genuine survivor presence in the north and central regions. A number of TRPs have been claimed, and most buildings are barricaded. However, most of the buildings scouted were VSB or lower. Danger level adjusted to Dangerous for the moment: this suburb is not a Ghost Town, but neither is it Safe, as some recent reports have suggested. Further investigation is encouraged! --WanYao 13:40, 11 April 2008 (BST)

March

March 21st

I'd say there are more than 40 zombies here. My zombie alt just cracked open a school, infected and ate the half-dead survivor inside, and ruined the place. Most of the buildings are ruined, and the ones that are not have at most 3 survivors inside based on previous break-ins. There's more life here than there is in the south, but the living are still outnumbered. --TerminalFailure 13:23, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

March 18th

This suburb is emptier than grigg heights, no more than 40 zombies in total, thats for sure. The man 19:01, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

February

Februrary 26th

Common, this suburb is directly south of a horde of 1000 zombies and it lacks any NTs. I'm upgrading this to VeryDanger. The man 10:01, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Thats a bad reason to upgrade the danger level, upgrade when it is on that level, not when you expect it migth become becuase of zombies in the nearby. Then greater ridleybank area should be all red... -- Wisuguya 22:52 26 february 2008 (UTC)

February 23rd

Almost all buildings are in ruin a few are Very Heavily and Heavily barricaded there is not much hope here... all police buildings are in ruins around 100 zombies scattered and in groups around the street also alot of them are in buildings i barricaded some buildings that survivors can get in 6/10 are already taken down Also i recruit people for the Crooketon Combat Squad we need to rebuild Crooketon and get the zombies away! - Ralazo 09:50, 23 February 2008

An up-to-date External Military report seems to contradict the above post. It reads: "... Crooketon is still active, maybe fifty on the streets ... mostly just small groups ... a lot of buildings with lights on ... infrastructure looks intact ..." Not quiet, but not "hopeless" for survuvors by any means. Anyone else wanna pipe in with some information? --WanYao 11:27, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

February 11th

The police station next door has been taken down too. I have no AP at all, only enough to get away to Nixbank. I counted 5 zombies inside. - Ken Hodgkins 10:02, 11 February 2008

February 11th

I have explored the area and I have counted at least 30 but probably 40 roam the area. There are some ruined buildings, 2 which I have repaired and barricaded. Most buildings have no lights. This is very close to becoming dangerous. I will leave it at moderate for now. --ChiaPet 23:38, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

February 10th

The Methodious General hospital barricade has been taken down, and they are currently 5 zombies in the building - Ken Hodgkins 23:45 (CMT)

January 2nd

Suburb almost entirely secure with a healthy balance of VSB and EHB buildings throughout. Survivor presence is low but slowly increasing. Few Zombies still seen in the streets in no greater groups then 3 although there have been no break ins for several days. The only visible survivor group is the Malton Defense Corporation. Consider downgrading to Safe or Ghost town in near future. User: Template:Valantine 19:29 (GMT)

2007

December

December 30th

Almost no survivor presence seen, occasional zeds. no large crowds.

December 18th

Slowly the West of the suburb is being retaken almost single handedly by the Malton Defense Corporation. Antheros General Hospital is powered and several buildings are at EHB with a couple of VSB points for lower levellers. The zombie presence is quite low although they still remain a considerable threat and are regularly breaching safehouses. --User:Valantine 17:12 (GMT)

December 11th

Scouted around Crooktown with my zombie alt and found that almost every building, including all resource points, have been ruined and those buildings that are not ruined have been found to be empty. The only places I could find that were barricaded were three buildings in the last row in the south of the suburb. Unless I am missing something this suburb should have it's danger level upgraded to very dangerous as most buildings have been left wide open.--Srg Shawn 05:04, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

November

November 15th

Mores Lane Police Department has fallen and is wrecked, and neighbouring Methodius General Hospital has been broken into by a horde and is about to collapse as well. Interestingly, many of the zeds I saw there before I left were level one, so you can draw your own conclusions from this.

00:24, 15 November 2007 (GMT)

Due to this; the suburb's Danger Level has been updated from 'Moderate' to 'Dangerous'. Stoj 06:27, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

November 14th

Mores Lane Police Department has been attacked again and again. There are significant survivor casualties. Barricades don't stay up for long. There are about 12 zombies outside the station as of this moment. Madmonkey24Talk CPM User ProfileMadmonkeyavatar-1.jpg 00:31, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

November 13th

Zombies continue to break into Mores Lane Police Department, and the barricades are not holding up for long after they are built. Number of zombies inside the Police Department fluctuates as more are either killed or break in. Assistance in clearing the police station is needed. Madmonkey24Talk CPM User ProfileMadmonkeyavatar-1.jpg 00:41, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

November 12th

Zombie presence felt, not overwhelming however. Zombies have broken into Mores Lane Police Department, but the barricades were set up behind them and they are being dealt with. Have not seen rest of suburb, please complete report if you have extra information. Madmonkey24Talk CPM User ProfileMadmonkeyavatar-1.jpg 22:03, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

November 10th

Buildings are barricaded, though survivors don't seem to have increased as much as the amount of barricaded buildings. Feral zombies roam around as usual, breaking into buildings every now and then. It's not completely safe, but the suburb is far from being reasonably dangerous. Stoj 02:27, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

November 2nd

The suburb is fairly safe, especially in the more populated regions. Small groups of feral zombies have been spotted at the hospitals towards the north (Antheros, Margaret), and the adjacent ruined buildings show that their intentions aren't friendly. There are quite a few barricaded, yet empty buildings. - Stoj 04:50, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

October 11th

After a relatively long period of quiet, small groups of feral zeds are making their presence known by breaking in to some of the resource buildings in the suburb. Due to these break-ins and wreckings the suburb level is back to Moderate. That having been said, they present little more than a nuisance for the moment, and their current levels are managable for now. --Vladimir Kosenko 22:53, 11th October 2007 (BST)

September

September 16th

Survivors have regained most of the suburb but there are still a fair number of ferals out on the streets. For zombies who wish to be revived be advised that the Antell Building is not a revive point and they risk being mistaken for hostile zeds and shot. Instead proceed to the recognised RP at Jefferson Square and wait for the next available Necro-tech employee. --Rober e killer 11:43, 16 September 2007 (BST)

September 13th

Survivour groups have increased alot, and zombies seemed to have left... Except for the odd ferals that occupy the few ruined buildings and streets. Suburb status should be changed from 'orange' to 'yellow'.

September 9th

Theres not a lot of zombies... But the same can be said for survivors. Apart from the odd group or two, most buildings remain ruined, and unoccupied (even by zombies). This place is a ghost town.

September 1st

Most of the suburb remains ruined, though the zombie hordes have diminished in quite a few places.

August

August 28th

St. Matheos's and Margaret General Hospitals were both attacked and ruined today by advance squads of Extinction zombie troops on their way down from their recent mauling of Grigg Heights and its Merson NT. It is not known as yet whether this latest incursion by Extinction is the precursor to a long term presence in the suburb but residents are advised to batten down the hatches as a large number of feral zombies who have been following the organized horde's path of destruction since the aftermath of LUE's Caiger Mall rampage could follow shortly. --Zeug 16:21, 28 August 2007 (BST)

August 26th

The general synopsis is that although there are still a high number of zombies in the suburb, almost all of them are feral, and the situation seems a lot more stable than it has been in recent days.--Vladimir Kosenko 15:25, 17 July 2007 (BST)

August 19th

Passed through Crooketon today and saw a large number of resource buildings sacked. Jefferson Square had a queue of nine zombies. While there seem to be no large mobs (think the largest was of nine outside a hospital), the buildings in central Crooketon are pretty well trashed. Didn't check the inside of the buildings, but it's a fair bet there are zombies inside. As for the cemetary RP...given that the church and closest building (Dewberry Building) are both trashed, it might be inactive. This 'burb is no longer yellow. -- NeenerNeener 19 August 2007

August 7th

Drama Club staged a special performance of "Army of Darkness" for zombies at Coffin Park as part of their Border Tour of Malton. The group is traveling clockwise around the border suburbs of Malton with one show in each suburb. Today they performed for the 2 zombies and one very gutsy survivor here as part of this tour. See their group page for performing groups and schedules.

July

July 17th

The suburb is fairly safe, though there are the odd pairs (or small groups) of zombies wandering around. There are very few buildings at risk (Cherington Drive Fire Station, The Pasker Building and the Wenslydale Arms are a few exceptions). Other than that, most buildings are either VSB or higher, and the strategic Methodius General Hospital and it's surrounding buildings are free from turmoil or any sort of panic.

Danger level should be changed from 'Dangerous' to 'Moderate'. -- Stoja 06:22, 17 July 2007 (BST)

June

June 20th

The Methodius General Hosptial has been heavily barricaded. Multiple survivors and zombies are positioned outside.

June 13th

Increased zombie presence has been seen throughout the suburb. Danger level has been updated to reflect this.

June 4th

Not such a bad place, really. Barricades tend to stay up reasonably well even with survivors in short supply. C'mon down and visit.

May

May 8th

Crooketon is a ghost town. A few scattered survivors maintain safehouses, and lone zombies mill about the streets.

February

February 8th

Goodness how the time flies. Dears, please do come for a cup of tea and some barricading at St Mattheos. a votre service, --LaDoc 19:38, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

October

October 26th

Methodeus Hospital now has 3 zeds in and 2 out. Noob humans holed up nearby awaiting APs.

September

September 24th

This area of Malton is very dangerous at this time. Almost every single safe house in the area has had its barricades completely or almost completely torn down, and for some reason, the ones that are barricaded are houseing zombies. It is possible that PKers might have swept the area and killed everyone, traveling by means of free running. (feel free to edit this to make it sound better, I'm not exactly a journalist)

July

July 12th

The coordinated attacks by the Dead on Arrival, Lebende Tote and the Crimson Crusaders have cleared the suburb of survivors. The (not quite so) Invisibles, fighting valiantly for almost 2 weeks, were forced to evacuate the suburb after the unrelenting mass of undead eventually washed over them.--Doc smith 13:10, 12 July 2006 (BST)

July 4th

The (not quite so) Invisibles are hunkering down and going for the long haul, with the fall of the Merson Building revives are now being saved for Invisibles members only for the time being. Those awaiting revives are regretfully informed of this and advised to head for safer climes to get revived. Currently The (not quite so) Invisible Academy remains mostly in our hands, and our Secondary and Tertiary HQ's are undiscovered.

After an unforunate incident of Combat Reviving by a new(ish) member, all Invisibles are reminded of our No Combat Reviving policy.

Sorry DOA/Totes don't expect to see too many of us, except when you crack our safehouses.

We plan on waiting you out, not removing you by force (with the exception of certain sentimental buildings here and there.

Nicely done on killing off our abortive Griggs strike before it really started btw! --Jakeweber 14:14, 4 July 2006 (BST)

July 1st

Dead On Arrival Kicks off its campaign in the south by blitzing through a series of poorly defended safehouses. Sadly, the Invisibles live up to thier name and the rank and file of DDAR find only a few confused breathers to munch upon. -- Spritefire 11:07, 1 July 2006 (BST)

  • In a daring midnight raid, members of The (not quite so) Invisibles, ambushed several visiting tourist Lebende Tote. When asked for a sitrep, Carl Panzram stated the following "Right now we're all dead. The Invisibles hit us with our pants down." At this time, reports of Totes stumbling about Crooketon sans trousers have not been confirmed. --Doc smith 14:22, 1 July 2006 (BST)

June

June 30th

In a daring morning raid, 3 members of the Lebende Tote GMT/Alpha strike team found 3 members of The (not quite so) Invisibles resting in a cracked safehouse. A blaze of gunfire and gnashing of teeth left 2 Totes pumped and dumped, while 1 Invisible sacrificed himself in order for his comrades to escape. The Totes realized that they were not chewing on n00bs in Griggs anymore. Good show! Cheers! --Doc smith 13:23, 29 June 2006 (BST).

In a daring afternoon raid, 5 Members of the Lebende Tote EST/Alpha strike team found 2 members of The (not quite so) Invisibles resting in a cracked safehouse. A hot blaze of Doc's cursing followed. "Encouraged" by Doc's words, the Totes devoured both Invisibles. The Totes suffered several broken nails. --Doc smith 01:40, 30 June 2006 (BST)
In a daring evening raid, 2 members of the Lebende Tote EST/Bravo srike team found a member of The (not quite so) Invisibles resting in a cracked safehouse. The Invisible was quickly put out of his misery. Doc lurched over and watched. 2 EST/Bravo Totes missed the fun. One Tote was looking for a vest, the other Tote was graarrhing with a North Gunner. --Doc smith 06:18, 30 June 2006 (BST)

April

April 15th

The Bees Building in the southeast sector is currently being occupied by four zombies. The factory to the east of St. Dorotheus's (That is how it is spelled in-game, even know it is incorrect punctuation) church has only one zomb in currently and another factory directly two spaces to the first's south has three zombies.

February

February 24th

The St. Matheos and Margaret General Hospitals have groups of cca 5 zombies in front of them and only doors closed.

January

January 27th

The large hordes have moved on to suburbs further East and North. However, conditions remain quite dangerous as zombie numbers have climbed dramatically after the attacks and resource buildings and many surrounding buildings are occupied by at least one guard zombie. Experiments removing zombies and barricading the buildings has resulted in rapid, organized strikes by zombies from surrounding buildings that quickly remove the barricades and reestablish the zombie guard. It's recommended that you DO NOT sleep in resource buildings and set up safehouses at least a couple blocks away to avoid their attention. --Impetus 07:39, 13 Jan 2006 (GMT)

January 3rd

Methodius General Hospital (6,68) seems safe, no undead for a few blocks and none inside.

We warn fellow travelers to stock up on supplies and AP before venturing into the hot zone. We also suggest that travelers scout for multiple safe houses before bedding down. We strongly urge that travelers have the Free Running skill. If travelers have the construction skill, strengthen the current safehouse barricades to extremely heavily barricaded.
There are large coordinated zombie hordes in Crooketon. Members of MotA (confirmed sightings) and the Undying Scourge have parked 40 zombies inside Mores Lane Police Dept. 5, 68. Antheros General Hospital, Margaret General Hospital, Furneaux Square Fire Station and the Theobald Building (Mobile Phone Mast) have fallen to the zombie menace (confirmed).
The Undying Scourge has recently moved into the suburbs of Crooketon and Mornington causing much panic and devastation to primary structures in the area. --Impetus 00:24, 29 Dec 2005 (GMT)

January 2nd

The conditions at St. Matheos's Hospital (7,61) - Methodius General Hospital (6,68) - Cherington Drive Fire Station (0,68) are unknown and considered unsafe until scouted.
