The church was as understated as St Eusebius himself.

An ornate church built in Portuguese style. Oddly, this church reputedly smells of fish.

History

St Eusebius was erected in 1977 to mark the arrival of the renowned Portuguese living saint, St Eusebius, who had signed a contract with Malton Rovers for the season and chose to live in sleepy Stanbury Village's exclusive Stanbury Place to avoid media attention.

Although the season proved a fiasco, with Eusebius scoring only two goals during the season (both of them own goals), his passionate followers nonetheless flocked here every Sunday to pray for the return of his miraculous right foot, which was preserved in a casket after St Eusebius' passing.

The foot has since been looted from the church, presumed eaten.
