Description
Strutt Towers is an abandoned housing block and the location of the mobile phone mast for Mockridge Heights, located at 43,65.
History
The Strutt Towers stand a full twenty stories high above Mockridge Heights, built almost on the tip of Mockridge Hill making it the absolute highest point in all of Malton, an ideal spot for the suburb's current cell phone mast. Built in the late 1980s, aside from housing many residents, the top of Strutt Towers provided wireless services for all of Mockridge Heights and beyond. Two years after completion, a small McZeds was established in the lower floor lobby to provide fast food service to employees of MalTel. Other franchises soon followed, eclipsing the original restaurant chain and the lower floor was converted into a food court. In 1998, a kitchen fire destroyed the entire lower floor, killing two people and injuring fourteen others. Three months later, the bottom floor was renovated back into a large lobby. When the zombie outbreak started, Strutt Towers was fortified and barricaded to prepare for a zombie attack and remains a key pathway between upper and lower Mockridge Heights to this day.
