I'm just a newbie zed passing through the 'burb here... but I noticed the wiki could use a bit of work... I fixed a problem with the tables being all screwy and overlapping and stuff, just by moving some text around. The page could use some further cleaning up and reorganisation IMO...

Crowbar Call
Updated Danger Report to Moderately Dangerous
If anyone has a free Crowbar, help. Some ass has been overbarricading everything. Chudley is extremely hard to get into, and I nearly got stuck outside today after getting barricade screwed. --Flareblade77 19:59, 23 May 2006 (BST)

Which buildings? Just the ones that the main wiki page says to, or more? Cos we need to have enough safehouses so that the zombies don't know which ones we're using, plus enough VSB buildings so the zombies don't know which ones the low-levels are hiding in. I'd personally suggest we change the Optimal Defense Plan. --mBread 08:21, 24 May 2006 (BST)
There were active zombie hordes in the area just a few days ago, but it looks like they've mostly moved out. All of the buildings I saw were safely barricaded, and only the lonesome zombie was standing outside here and there. In fact, the place looks almost safe, after a little more checking. -- 00:19, 13 December 2012 (UTC)

Barricading NecroTech Building
I am interested in changing the barricade plans for the suburb, and wanted to get others' thoughts. I was hoping to change Tar Auto Repair to EHB, and designate Vaux Grove School as the new EP, keeping at VSB. This would make more sense for survivors in the area, as the auto repair is important to keep unruined. Paulderleth
Can I make a suggestion that the NecroTech building djacent to Bateson Street be extremily heavily barricaded, to make it harder for zombies to enter & ransack it, especially as it is currently powered. And then leave one or both of the adjacent buildings at VSB to allow people with free-running to access the NT building. --mBread 09:24, 18 May 2006 (BST)
:Hi Paulderleth, I like your ideas in changing the barricade plan. I have to warn you, not many people visit the talk pages for the suburbs on this wiki anymore (it's awfully quiet just like the game), so you may not get the feedback from the Roachtown locals like you hope.

:However, there are ways you can go about getting plenty of support and help maintaining your proposed change. I suggest you find the groups active in Roachtown and message them on their wiki talk pages, and also let them know in game that there's a proposal to change the barricade plan, and then see if anyone comes and has a say.
Dear lord, no. Getting into Chudley is already hard enough, we can't block out that valuble resource point... --Flareblade77 14:51, 20 May 2006 (BST)
:Luckily, there's no physical voting process you have to go to change a barricade plan on this wiki, but theoretically the person(s) who changes it has to be able to enforce it in-game until players treat it as the new law, and since this is a small change, it shouldn't be hard. Remember, use communication in-game, that's the best way to get to the people in Roachtown! Good luck. 01:13, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

But surely we want to make it hard for zombies to get in? Most survivors (especially those with NecroTech skills) are very likely to have Free Running skill, so barracading it fully & leaving one or both of the adjacent buildings at VSB+2 should allow survivors easy entry, but make it as hard as possible for zombies? --mBread 15:14, 20 May 2006 (BST)

Amusing Locations in Malton List
Roachtown has been voted to be added to the list of Amusing Locations in Malton, usual practice states that the ALiM template should be added to such locations. Since this is a suburb page we feel that consultation with residents of the suburb should be undertaken prior to adding the template to see if people support/object to its addition. Please comment here/on my talk page/on the alim talk page with your views. Thanks! -- 13:42, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Great Suburb Group Massacre 2011

All suburb wiki pages are undergoing a clean up to remove inactive groups from the group listing (see here: this suburb's groups). If you are a group currently listed in this suburb, you will be contacted on your group's talk page within the next few days and asked to reply with a list of suburbs in which you are active. Groups that fail to reply within two weeks of being contacted will automatically be removed from the suburbs where they are listed.

We're posting here in the hopes that more groups will be aware of the clean up and can respond appropriately, since our team does not have the time nor the manpower to seek out every group in-game or track down its group members elsewhere on the wiki. If you know that some groups in your suburb do not check the wiki, please be a good neighbor and let them know that they NEED to check it for this, or else they will be unlisted in the near future.

The wiki members coordinating the cleanup will be using the table below to track their progress in communicating with the various groups. Please do not edit it if you are not involved with The Great Suburb Group Massacre 2011 team.

Please check your group's talk pages in the next few weeks, and respond promptly when you receive a communication from the GSGM2011 team. Thanks. Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 23:29, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for your cooperation as we cleaned up the group listings for this suburb. Your help in reaching out to groups and replying to our requests has been much appreciated. Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 20:36, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

change barricade plans?

I am interested in changing the barricade plans for the suburb, and wanted to get others' thoughts. I was hoping to change Tar Auto Repair to EHB, and designate Vaux Grove School as the new EP, keeping at VSB. This would make more sense for survivors in the area, as the auto repair is important to keep unruined. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Paulderleth (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.

Hi Paulderleth, I like your ideas in changing the barricade plan. I have to warn you, not many people visit the talk pages for the suburbs on this wiki anymore (it's awfully quiet just like the game), so you may not get the feedback from the Roachtown locals like you hope.
However, there are ways you can go about getting plenty of support and help maintaining your proposed change. I suggest you find the groups active in Roachtown and message them on their wiki talk pages, and also let them know in game that there's a proposal to change the barricade plan, and then see if anyone comes and has a say.
Luckily, there's no physical voting process you have to go to change a barricade plan on this wiki, but theoretically the person(s) who changes it has to be able to enforce it in-game until players treat it as the new law, and since this is a small change, it shouldn't be hard. Remember, use communication in-game, that's the best way to get to the people in Roachtown! Good luck. A ZOMBIE ANT 01:13, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
