I should mention that this is not the event page. This page simply explains the game (see Malton Manhunt for precedence). Fight Factory/Zombieball is the event page (temporarily) and there is currently an open discussion to nominate the official name of the first event. Once an event name is voted on, I'll redirect everything to proper namespaces.

This is...

Totally amazing. That is all. -MHSstaff 19:32, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Another fantastic-looking project Vapor, but it just so happens I loathe all of your nation's sports. :( The sun shone, having no alternative, on the nothing new 00:27, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

I anticipated as much from a mostly European playerbase (tbqh I'm not a huge fan of them myself). For anyone not familiar with the rules of American football, this game is very loosely based on them. If I need to. I will remove references to the sport altogether to avoid the stigma. ~Vsig.png 01:15, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Nah, it's the most apt of sports to use. UD's AP system perfectly emulates the play-a-little-bit-then-stop-again nature of American sport. The sun shone, having no alternative, on the nothing new 01:17, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Spoken like another ignorant brit who's never watched american sport.--GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 22:38, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Not only am I not British but my house watches American Football regularly. It's play, stop, set up next play, play, stop, and so on. Plus the time outs too. Makes it much more start-stop than sports usually are. The sun shone, having no alternative, on the nothing new 12:25, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
True of the NFL. What about hockey, volleyball, basketball, baseball, NASCAR, MMA and lacross?--GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 12:48, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Lol. Bad bluff. Basketball is exactly the same, the last minute in NBA matches gets carried out for half an hour because of the time outs and fouls. NFL is exactly as Mis says it is, but I don't know enough about the others you specified to comment, though I imagine using NASCAR as an example of the richness of american sporting culture is pretty poor, and this is coming from a bogan pro-racing country. -- LEMON #1 13:04, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Baseball is shit boring, but NHL is pretty awesome. Don't assume because we don't come from america we don't watch the sports that are centralised in the country and therefore aren't capable of making an opinion on their flow :| -- LEMON #1 13:04, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Baseball is about as exciting as watching paint dry. So is NASCAR. So is cricket, bowling, and darts. But these are subjective judgments and I'm not here to discuss the merits of one sport over another. I'm here to educate you ignorant folk about american sport, since you are repeating baseless misnomers. Also, while the last minute of a basketball game can be painfully drawn out, this is not true of 95% of the contest and therefore an invalid example.--GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 20:25, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Not really hey since we're on the topic of whether a sport is BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP -- LEMON #1 00:21, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
Shit sorry, someone called a time out in the middle of my comment. Anyway, I'm back now. What I was going to say was since we're on the topic of whether a sport is stop and start it is completely relevant that the last and potentially most important/exciting minute of a sport is drawn out to half an hour. And again, you haven't added anything that a) "educates" us or b) shows that we need educating or that our opinions are any less valid than yours. We watch a sport and think it has a stop and start nature, if we aren't from the same country as the sport, are we immediately dismissed from making that observation? -- LEMON #1 00:34, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
Listen pal, I'm only going to explain this to you once so make sure...--GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 13:08, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
Shit sorry, I was in the middle of making my comment when my paragraph arbitrarily ended because no one knew how many words I had left. Since you want to harp on basketball I don't mind taking you to school on it. It is absolutely a point of criticism for many fans of the game that the coaches can call a bunch of timeouts in the final minute like that, and perhaps a rethinking of the number of timeouts available, or the ability to call them back to back is in order. However you seem to suffer from a fundamental lack of understanding as to the difference between a game clock that moves regardless of the action on the field, and a clock that stops when there is a break in the action. In every sport there is starting and stoping, ie free throws, penalty kicks, throw ins, scrums, face offs, the serve, substitutions, penalties, yadda yadda. So let me educate you - you are mistaking the nature of the clock for the nature of the flow. And you still haven't demonstrated how any of the american sports besides the nfl and the last minute of an nba game have this dreaded "start and stop" nature, because you are an ignorant aussie. :P --GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 13:08, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
It's true, and that's because admittedly that's not the part of your initial sentence I had a problem with. I admit I got embroiled in shit I didn't care to argue for or jusitify (like which games were start and stop, since personally I only watch NFL and my brother watches NBL religiously and spends most other parts of the day talking about it and noting the last minute of gameplay). The truth is, the reason I had a bite in this conversation was because I thought the notion of an american calling another culture ignorant was just fucking rich. Of course, I assumed you were american from your stance so if you weren't i apologise and fade into the corner of fail and obscurity -- LEMON #1 13:51, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

congrats, this game looks awesome!! --Undeadite.jpgSurfincow 22:10, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. Glad to see this is getting attention. Sign-ups for the first game are now open at Talk:Fight Factory/Zombieball. ~Vsig.png 22:26, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
What is the time frame for signing up? -MHSstaff 22:32, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
It will go until all 20 slots are filled. If they haven't all been filled 2 weeks before the beginning of the event, then I might need to push back the start date. ~Vsig.png 23:48, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Lol this looks retarded. Reminds me of Blood Bowl. Any way we can get some sort of spectator thing going? Wouldnt mind that! -- LEMON #1 13:06, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

I had thought to do some sort of play-by-play. Maybe betting tables like in AH's Brawl in a Bar. Could you give an example of how a spectator addition would work? ~Vsig.png 18:43, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Ah, bloodbowl. Me and DDR can be your Crat Commentary team, like the two headed guy from the pod race, but not surrounded by a COMPLETELY SHIT FILM. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 18:45, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Have betting tables and play-by-play commentary on a radio station setup for just this. -MHSstaff 18:49, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Sounds good. I'll throw something together.~Vsig.png 20:42, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Shit. I didn't mean the tabletop version of Blood Bowl. I meant the video game, which I only downloaded cause it looked cool. I swear! I don't play warhammer -.- -- LEMON #1 00:40, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
I thought you meant this Blood Bowl and was somewhat confused. ~Vsig.png 01:28, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Namespacing

I should mention that this is not the event page. This page simply explains the game (see Malton Manhunt for precedence). Fight Factory/Zombieball is the event page (temporarily) and there is currently an open discussion to nominate the official name of the first event. Once an event name is voted on, I'll redirect everything to proper namespaces. ~Vsig.png 20:43, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
