OK, guys...last time I checked, the nomination does not get moved under Community Discussion until the nominee accepts the bid. I have not accept the bid yet, and have been moving it back to Still Requiring Vouches as the bid has not yet been accepted. I'm not moving it back up a third time now... -_- --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 00:07, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

That's true, I completely forgot about the accepting bit. Sorry! -- ϑanceϑanceevolution 04:29, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Jerrel

I'm really amazed at the fact that this hasn't been put up any earlier. While there have been very good reasons to criticise Jerrel in the past, he has massively shaped up ever since.

He hasn't done a single bad edit in months - not in five months, not in six months, no, in friggin' seven months! That beats even Ross' track record, who has been put up on A/VB once during that time.

Apart of that, he is a nice guy who actively fights cussing on the wiki.

What could possibly go wrong by promoting someone like him? -- Spiderzed 15:21, 1 April 2011 (BST)

  • Questions
    1. What is different this time from the previous times you've asked for promotion?
    2. I notice on your talk page that you said that you wouldn't run again. What made you change your mind? Asheets 20:04, 1 April 2011 (BST)

It's no longer April fools... so that'll be quite enough of that. The user is unlikely to accept, given their last post was in August -- boxy talkteh rulz 09:52 2 April 2011 (BST)

  • Strongly Against - User has returned with the sole intention of being meatpuppeted in to the second crat spot so that SA will control both crat spots. Candidate fails multiple promotion criterion, and above all does not have the best interests of the wiki at heart.--Yonnua Koponen T G P ^^^ 22:36, 8 July 2011 (BST)
    What the fuck
are you on? Last I checked, Mis and SA have nothing to do with each other, apart from maybe talking? Certainly there's no “control” relationship that I'm aware of? And can I have some of whatever it is? ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 22:39, 8 July 2011 (BST)

You know, I suspect you're right. I should be surprised he couldn't be bothered typing the extra 13 characters necessary for clarity, because that would have required more effort than repeating the same shitty meme over and over again. ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 22:55, 8 July 2011 (BST)
Now that it's been shown that Yon is objectively wrong, is he going to at least edit the wrong bits out of his vote?--Karloth Vois ¯\(°_o)/¯ 14:02, 9 July 2011 (BST)
  • huge vouch of course not. yon is a total thad. and it was funny when nubis said that not you. at least come up with your own burn. fucking tard. --User:Sexualharrison14:05, 9 July 2011 (bst)
  • Strong Vouch - I don't think it's a secret that Mis and I got along pretty well, even when we were busy disagreeing vehemently with one another, so this vouch should come as no surprise. I always liked having him around as a sysop, because he was a no-nonsense sysop who wasn't afraid to speak his mind, didn't put up with BS, used a great deal of common sense in his approach (his opinions in debates, while oftentimes harshly stated, are just as often like a breath of fresh air in a hot and stale room), and knew enough about the rules to not make a fool of himself (EDIT: that wasn't intended as a back-handed insult aimed at anyone). He's definitely taken a more liberal stance towards precedents in recent months, but he has reasons for doing so. Also, his motives for nominating himself right now may be slightly clouded (I get the strong sense that he nominated himself because he wants to be able to vote on things again), but that doesn't change the fact that I have an unwavering confidence in his ability to act faithfully and capably as a sysop. Aichon 23:33, 10 July 2011 (BST)
To be fair, if you like the fact that mis is strong and opinionated, then his desire to be able to vote on things again is surely a good thing?--Yonnua Koponen T G P ^^^ 00:05, 11 July 2011 (BST)
I apologize in advance, but I'm a bit unclear on what you're asking. If you're asking me if his strong opinions and an apparent desire to vote are sending up red flags for me, the answer is no, they are not. If anything, those are marks of a good sysop, though both need to be taken in moderation lest we have a crusade on our hands (and even a crusade isn't always a bad thing, though it does tend to create drama). I don't like sysops who are afraid to say what needs to be said or are unwilling to take a stand when it needs to be done, and having a desire to participate in administrative affairs is basically a qualification for the job, which means that it isn't problematic (the motivation behind the desire is what can be a problem). That said, if people go off the deep end with both of those, then sure, that's can create a lot of drama around here. I don't think Mis has gone nearly that far, however, and as I said, I trust him to act faithfully and capably in the performance of sysop duties, just as he did before. Aichon 01:09, 11 July 2011 (BST)
Umm, no. I was saying if you like one of those things then surely you'd like the other, which is more or less what your post has just covered.--Yonnua Koponen T G P ^^^ 01:49, 11 July 2011 (BST)
