September/December 2009
The next election will be around about the 25th of December assuming of course that there are no demotions either by inactivity or by choice with the Box's space up for grabs. -- Cheese 14:49, 26 September 2009 (BST)
- Christmas election! Fuck yeah! --DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION-- 14:42, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- Not fuck yeah. A lot of users might not have the chance to vote due to the holidays.-- SA 19:16, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- I'll be about. Such power. Mwah ha ha! --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 19:23, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- Boxy could request an earlier election, starting on the 1st say, as an act of good faith to ensure that the full community gets a chance to vote. -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 19:45, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- Or alteratively extend the voting process, so it started earlier. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 19:51, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- Extending the voting process is contrary to the policy, calling an election voluntarily is not. -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 19:53, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- Good faith? The hell? What about "avoiding the christmas period by putting onesself up for election early even though he has had a short term already" makes good faith? UDWiki's activity goes up more during the late December-early January period, we just rock that much. Keep as is. Obviously. --DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION-- 21:49, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- Got some facts to show that? Might make an interesting article. I'm always being told that zombie activity goes down over the summer. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 21:51, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

- What is the usual holiday schedule? Off just before Christmas, and for a couple of weeks? -- boxy talk • teh rulz 12:36 28 November 2009 (BST)

A whole month is dumb. But I think having it on, say, the 20th instead of the 25th may suffice? If we feel so inclined? --DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION-- 00:18, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- I don't care either way anymore. I gotta work christmas anyway and I am in grumpy mode. >:| -- SA 02:15, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- 20th sounds good to me -- boxy talk • teh rulz 10:48 3 December 2009 (BST)
- 20th seems fair, but I'd suggest the 21st. It's a monday so it feels right, plus it's more of an evenly-spaced period either side of Christmas day so anyone busy on one side of it has time the other side. 22:27, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- 20th is a bit pointless really, given that it's the same Monday to Friday week as Christmas, anyone who interwebs from school/uni/college is likely to be away and therefore can't vote. If you're going to move it, then Friday the 18th would include such backwards people without home iwebs (though it'd obviously have to kick off from start of school/uni/college time in the Antipodes to allow everyone a chance. -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 15:16, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

Boxy's so clever
I just realised, having a name that comes first alphabetically is an amazing tactical ploy. Aaron A. Aardvark is a sure fire winner for the next crat elections. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 11:12, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
- That'd be hilarious. Oh. Except in the last 2 years, 10 or so elections it's happened basically twice, both of which were just Boxy anyway. :/ --
- Not that I'm implying that most wikizens cant be bothered scrolling. Although it would explain why people aren't voting for SA. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 11:27, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
- Oh cmon, we aren't ALL lazy. SA isn't getting a vote because he's a dud op who doesn't bother taking the job seriously anymore. -- 11:30, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

Hm, yeas, I'm a dud sysops who doesn't take da job srsly anymore.-- ¯\(°_o)/¯ 13:46, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
I do have to say, having a screen name close to the start of the alphabet really is rather nice. It's easy to find your name on lists, to say the least. —Aichon— 19:28, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
So does this mean that I am the best? -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 21:23, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
