Among the internal descriptions found in Railway Stations: "Its platforms are empty, its departure boards blank, all trains having left the city during the evacuation." "…a fire-damaged white-stone building surrounded by lawns. Behind railings, you can see railway tracks disappearing into the surrounding city." This building can be barricaded normally.

Description

Brain Boulevard Railway Station is a rail station in Old Arkham, located on the Malton Rail/Green Line between Cradock and Cockburn stations.

History

Despite its title, the station seems to be devoid of any sort of common sense in its design with obtuse walkways that weaved about unnecessarily and contained lots of wide oddly sloping floors making setting up anything inside a hassle. Newspaper sellers couldn't set stands up because the papers and magazines would tend to shift. The same was true for any vendors of items found commonly in other stations, making even finding a cup of coffee difficult, let alone a place to sit and drink it since benches were very sparse. Placed smack in the middle of Old Arkham with three other stations quite nearby the conductors used to joke about the lack of forethought put into this stop.

After the Zombie Apocalypse set in, as railways stations proved frustrating for foragers looking for useful items, this station's architectural quirks would prove useful. Survivors being chased by zombies would run into the station and gain some much-needed levity and amusement watching zombies attempt to shamble up the sloped walkways with some difficulty only to frequently fall over themselves when lured onto paths going downhill. The Undead would be frequently frustrated at the lack of "Brain" in this station which their feeble minds could still read from the letters etched in the stonework outside.

Current Status

May 14, 2009 - You are inside Brain Boulevard Railway Station. Its platforms are empty, its departure boards blank, all trains having left the city during the evacuation. The building has been extremely heavily barricaded. A portable generator has been set up here. It is running. One of the platforms has been decorated with two cubist sculptures, two African sculptures, eight skulls, and a human skeleton. Somebody has spraypainted Casa de Los Campeones Justicieros onto the departures board.--Dr Mycroft Chris 19:28, 14 May 2009 (BST)
