D.I.T.P.S Procedures

The D.I.T.P.S would like all of its members to follow the listed group procedures when working within Dulston or any other sanctioned location. Members are asked to adhere as closely to these guidelines as possible while working at local hospitals or when out in the field beyond Dulston's borders.

Hospital Barricade Policy
These procedures discuss how hospital and other building barricades should be maintained within Dulston and beyond its borders.

  • Barricade Level - All hospitals should be Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded at all times, unless the hospital is under heavy siege by at least 5 zombies, in a coordinated attack. The decision to move to Heavily or Extremely Heavily barricaded is up to the attending physician, but in situations of dire threat any staffer may act to save the inhabitants. Always announce your intentions before raising or lowering the barricades.
  • Overbarricaders - If another survivor over-barricades when no threat is present, confront them and explain the situation. Simply put, the barricades need to be at VS+2 in order to let inexperienced survivors in and out of the hospital (out referring to the fact that no inexperienced survivor would leave a building unless they knew they could return, so while they can technically leave, they usually won't).
  • Barricading in other suburbs... - Field operatives are cautioned that when working outside the area of influence maintained by the Dulston Alliance you should be careful when enforcing barricade policy, as some survivors may view any attempts at lowering barricades as "hostile intent" and react accordingly.

Health Care Provisions
Health care services are provided to victims found in all locations, including outdoors. Of course various conditions must also be considered when determining the level of assistance.

  • In-house services - The D.I.T.P.S will provide health care services (both short and long term) to all survivors within the supported hospitals, except for the following.
  • PKers - As a group dedicated to healing the injured, the D.I.T.P.S will not provide services to murderers. Bounty hunters do not fall foul of this rule, however.
  • GKers - The ability to find items at an effective rate, to perform surgery, and to have a clean and beautiful building depends on the presence of a generator. The D.I.T.P.S will not provide services to known GKers, even if the player has not targeted the D.I.T.P.S directly.
  • Zombies - Zombies that break into D.I.T.P.S facilities will most likely be dispatched. The D.I.T.P.S does offer revivification at supported locations, however.
  • Field services - The D.I.T.P.S will provide short term on-the-spot services to all survivors within the nearby surroundings of supported hospitals, with the following limitations.
  • Victims of multi-zombie attacks - survivors that are under attack by a crowd of zombies will most likely receive a pointer to a revive location, rather than a first aid kit. Some members may choose to administer a single first aid kit to remove infection, but in general, locations of nearby D.I.T.P.S facilities (hospitals and revive locations) will be given.
  • Revive-point killers - Survivors that are known to kill zombies (undead survivors) standing in line at revive points will not be serviced, but will be informed as to the reason (they may not know of the status of the location).
  • "Live" Survivors - Active survivors will be directed to a nearby D.I.T.P.S facility, rather than serviced in the field, unless they are too low on AP to reach such any such location safely.
  • Unlicensed Practitioners - Independent health care professionals who are not affiliated with the D.I.T.P.S or the MHG are none-the-less welcome to practice within all suburb hospitals. We ask that they abide by D.I.T.P.S rules while making use of our facilities, and welcome them to join our group. Organized health care groups are asked not to make permanent use of the D.I.T.P.S facilities, as there is room enough in Dulston for everyone without all crowding into the same hospital.

Zombie Reanimation Policy
Victims of the zombie plague can receive revives from trained D.I.T.P.S staff at several sanctioned locations throughout the suburb. Read more for details pertaining to the practices and procedures involved with reviving plague victims.

  • Revive Points - Duport Avenue (92,4) and Hamerton Road (98,1) are the suburb's official revive points, and the D.I.T.P.S supports both of them. Waiting time is usually less than 24 hours.
  • Sacred Ground Policy - The D.I.T.P.S supports the Sacred Ground policy, and so will revive zombies found standing in cemeteries (unless the zombie is confirmed to have brain rot). Zombies found abusing the policy (by standing at graveyards while posessing the brain rot skill) will be reported to the Dulston Alliance.
  • Combat revives - The D.I.T.P.S does not support the use of combat revives, and will not revive a zombie in combat, under any circumstances.

Regulations
The following regulations are not categorized by specific policy group and should therefore be considered stand-alone policies that work under their own merit.

  • D.I.T.P.S Tagging - While D.I.T.P.S members are not required to do so there are several useful tasks you can perform with a spray can:
  • Spraypaint tags inside suburb hospitals to let them know our barricade policy (i.e. D.I.T.P.S open-door policy requires barricades @ VS+2). Spraypainting this same message more than once will also ensure that it is not easily replaced or slandered.
  • Spraypaint tags outside suburb hospitals to let survivors know they who maintains the building (i.e. D.I.T.P.S Sanctioned Hospital - No zombies allowed). Spraypainting this same message more than once will also ensure that it is not easily replaced or slandered.
  • When working at officially recognized revive points always confirm that the spraypaint tag is displaying the correct information. In the past griefers have retagged revive points to direct undead survivors to other locations throughout the suburb. This was misinformation meant to cause trouble, nothing more. If you find that a revive point tag has been tampered with, spraypaint over that tag. The spraypaint tag should read: Dulston Alliance Revive Point.

D.I.T.P.S Policies

The Dulston Infection Treatment and Prevention Squad (D.I.T.P.S) does hereby acknowledge and follow the policies listed herein. We also acknowledge the fact that not all of these policies are shared, nor enforced, by membership within the Dulston Alliance, and thus we treat them as our own personal policies.

Malton Hospitals Group

One of our group's guiding principles is restoring safety and security to hospitals, starting with those in Dulston. We want to not only be there to help heal the injured and infected, but also provide them with shelter by maintaining barricades at Very Strongly (VS+2), so that even survivors without the Free Running skill can enter inside. As such, the D.I.T.P.S have stepped up and will be accounted for by joining the Malton Hospital Group's policy of listing those hospitals that we help manage.

Uniform Barricade Policy

We believe that extremes and disorganization are two enemies of the survivor cause. When survivors over-barricade they create situations where inexperienced survivors are trapped outside and veteran survivors can never tell where they can exit into the streets for fear that they cannot return inside. By determining which buildings should be at which barricade levels all survivors benefit and no one is left out in the cold.

The D.I.T.P.S understands that, as a member group of the Dulston Alliance, that we are bound to enforce the specific suburb policies set forth by the Alliance, which for Dulston is described in the Dulston Optimal Defense Diagram. As these policies do mirror the UBP in many ways this does not cause us any real conflict of interest.

Sacred Ground Policy

We believe that providing proper medical services even extends to undead survivors. As such, we feel that all survivors need to be able to recognize where they can be revived when in a new or foreign suburb. As not all revive points are properly indicated they can easily be missed, while a cemetery can easily be recognized. Therefore we wholeheartedly support the idea that Dulston's cemetery should be recognized as an official revive point.

At the same time we understand that Dulston currently does not support the Sacred Ground Policy. If you are currently in the cemetery, our group will revive you. Of course we understand that should any of our own members be shot while waiting at the cemetery they will not be able to lodge any complaints against offenders, as they were shot at a non-official revive point.
