Basic Info:

  • All banks were emptied or looted prior to evacuation. Tagging a bank earns 1 XP.
  • Banks are Dark buildings.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in Banks:
    • "The vault lies open, its contents either looted or transferred."
  • Banks can be barricaded normally.

Harnap Bank [26,73] is a former FDIC depository in the northeast quadrant of the suburb of South Blythville. Its primary relevance, since the start of the outbreak, is its proximity (one block south) to the revivification point located at Gee Avenue.

Significance since the outbreak

Originally the base of operation for the group that has become the Blythville Gang, it is now only intermittently occupied and barricaded. At one point the Bank was the site of an attack by a large number of ferals and members of The Dark Order of Armageddon. As the Gang has spread throughout South Blythville to increase their effectiveness in reviving the fallen at Gee Avenue, and to better fight the advances of groups like the D.O.A, the Bank stands now more as a reminder of the tenuous nature of human resistance.

Status for survivors

Harnap Bank and nearby Land Bank are both used as entry/exit points for the revive clinic at Gee Avenue. The barricade status of each tends to vary - generally as one is low enough to permit entry, the other is kept at Extremely Heavily Barricaded. What does not change, however, is that both Land Bank and Harnap Bank should remain unpowered and dark except ONLY in the event of needing repair or bodies cleared. Given the reduction in hit-rates, these buildings act as a defense against zombies by hampering their ability to successfully kill survivors sleeping inside.
