It is widely recognised that all junkyards in Malton have already been cut open. Searching junkyards will yield a wide variety of different items, including crowbars, mobile phones, flak jackets, fire axes, pistol clips, shotgun shells, spraycans and fuel cans, mixed in with the far less desirable baseball bats, books, knives, pipes and newspapers. Junkyards can be barricaded, but have no doors to shut.

1986-Sophomore at Salt Street High Jack Thompson was found beaten and cut up with a shovel here in 1986, believed to be a victim of Christopher Render, also known as the Salt Street Specter, the Lerwill Monster or the Green Janitor.
