Basic Info:

  • All junkyards were sealed and locked at the start of the quarantine, and required wirecutters to enter, unless someone else had already cut the fence. It is widely recognised that all junkyards in Malton have already been cut open.

Description

A junkyard located in the suburb of Rolt Heights along the border with Pescodside to the east. Survivors can barricade this location (even though the once mighty chain-link fence is breached) and while searching does, on occaision, yield something from a variety of items it should be noted that not everything found is considered useful. As such, survivors should consider this a safe haven when barricaded, but hardly the best place to stock up on useful gear.

Barricade Policy

This building should be Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded at all times. This is in accordance with the Rolt Heights Barricade Plan and the barricade plan set forth by the Burchell Arms Regulars, who routinely monitor the barricade level for this building. This building is meant to serve as a shelter for Malton's inexperienced survivors and entry point into other nearby fortified buildings.

Survivors who find the building's barricades below their assigned level are asked to assist in raising them back up in order to help ensure the safety of all the survivors staying inside the building. Any survivor found raising or lowering the barricades may be directly "put to the question" by any member of the B.A.R. present at that time. If this happens the accused survivor is required to present a valid reason for their actions or be labeled a zombie spy/death cultist and be judged accordingly.

Survivors are reminded that should any member of the B.A.R find the barricades raised higher that Very Strongly without any apparent danger to the building or area they have the authority to lower the barricades back down to Very Strongly in order to restore access to the building from the outside.

Current Events

December 20th, 2008 - The Burchell Arms Regulars have decreed that the junkyard's barricade level will henceforth be lowered from Extremely Heavily (EHB) barricaded to Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded. This change was made concurrently with an upgrade in the barricade level of a nearby factory. The junkyard will now serve as a new entry-point in place of the old factory (now deemed a valuable resource location).
