Sirs,
In relation to order X-ray Charlie I must express my concerns that again the border force has been reduced. Short term supply and manpower gaps can be managed, but this is the second major reduction in the last 18 months.
Of special concern is the recent reallocation of specialist staff caused by the Monroeville Outbreak. At present my sector only has 17 combat ready engineers available and as a result maintenance of the border is slipping ever further behind schedule.
The attached photographs show several large cracks that have appeared in the primary concrete defences, no doubt as a result of their hasty construction 4 years ago. Recently installed barbed wire defences are, in my opinion, worthless as many veteran survivors still have access to wire cutters.
I must again repeat my warning, that without massive investment or manpower in the next few months than the quarantine may fail, and we may be faced with the possibility of a national outbreak.
