Advice Page for New SillyLillyPillys

Okay, I know it's tough being a new SLP. I've been there. Heck, I'm there right now as I write this. And as we get more of us, it is going to get tougher. You're very likely to find yourself gunned down at the drop of a hat, even if you haven't done anything more than shoot up a few zombies and healed people up with some FAKs. Why? The very reason you chose to be a SLP in the first place.

The name.

They fear us, they fear the name, and so they act irrationally.

And as we get more of us, the more they will see our name, and the more that fear will spread.

But what they don't know is that you have you on you side.

So some tips:

Don't PK anyone till your 10th level or so. Why? Because if you don't PK you can't get a bounty listed on you. While getting a KOS listing on there is a fine goal eventually, you still want to build the needed skills so you can be an efficient killer.

Why don't you want a bounty on you yet? Because if (when) you get killed, it will most likely come from some overanxious zealot who you can then report for PKing. Some one who didn't bother to check to see if there is a bounty listing on you and just reacted to the name. According to the Brainstock Rogues Gallery forum, guilt by group association is not good enough. You actually have to have a bounty on you for it to be a legitimate kill, and the only way to earn a having a bounty placed on you is by killing some one.

What do you do when that happens? Report it.

Make a screen capture that includes you name, location information, and your death. If it's a long screen, make sure you get overlapping screen captures. Go to the Brainstock Rogues Gallery forum and report it. Then they are the ones who become gets them tagged as PKers, which sends hunters after them, slows down their revive requests - since it brands them forever as PKers, even after their bounty is paid out - and in general starts gumming up the works.

We do this enough, and it starts keeping people on their toes. They can't kill indiscriminately based on a name. They learn they have to work for their kills, just like we have to do.

In fact, read the Brainstock Rogues Gallery forum. Learn how the hunters think, how they communicate, who the most dangerous among them are, and who are most apt to potentially turn a blind eye or turn to the dark side.

When you begin your PKing career, or even just your initially zombie killing phase, respect cemeteries, churches, libraries, museums. It adds a little honor to an otherwise thankless role, and you never know when you might need their refuge yourself. And even if those who would kill us do not respect our presence at these places, there is no reason for us to stoop to that level. And if people do violate them, report them.

Respect other PKers.

Develop some sort of system for picking your victims. Go for a theme if you can. Themes are also what separate mass murderers from serial killers, not that one is inherently better than the other. One idea that can get you started is the Alphabet Game.

Also, personally, I aim to only go after those my level or higher. Unless it's a revenge killing. Then all bets are off.

And remember, you're gorgeous silly. Keep smiling.
