20070619 Improved Syringe
SBC 15:19, 17 June 2007 (BST)
Suggestion type
Skill
Suggestion scope
Scientist
Suggestion description
This skill should be after the Necronet access. By having the skill a survivor could upgrade his/her syringe 2.0 to some thing like 2.0a (for about 15 to 20 APs) which he/she can inject to him/herself (or any other survivor) and the next time he/she dies and prevent zombification (I know it's not a real word but you get the drift) if and only if the survivor dies before he/she could use another 20APs (Logically, and also for balancing purposes, because maybe after 20 turns the syringe would pass through their digestive system) as a corpse he/she would smell strange and would stand up as a human
I just thought about this because well, it would prevent overcrowding in the cemeteries or revive points because let's face it, if a person doesn't want to live a zombie's life after they die they'll just go to revive points and wait, it wouldn't hurt if we had a quick solution to our deaths. though I know the downside is that revivers wouldn't have any job so... maybe it would be a scientist class available skill only?

Keep Votes
- Keep - Author vote (forgive me for some typos it's 12:32am here and I'm groggy... ^^) --- SBC 15:32, 18 June 2007 (BST)
- Keep - It's limited, and I think the reson everyone's killing this one is he phrased it wrong. It doesn't prevent zombification, it's an insurance policy. If you DO become a zombie, the syringe is already in your system... Maybe if you added some system for zombies to be able to keep them down, or make them zeds, like a subskill of infectious bite that only effects corpses that are pre-revivified. And put pre-revivified corpses under a different category than normal revivification. Nalikill 15:15, 22 June 2007 (BST)
Kill Votes
- Kill - The basic idea is interesting, but I think a different way of limiting the effect would be better. --T 17:02, 18 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Auto-reviving nerfs zombies. Besides, as boxy said below, if you prevent zombification it would result in permanent death, not standing back up as a human. --Sonofagun18 17:57, 18 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill This is the closest thing to "Lives x(#)" that I've seen so far. Unsigned vote. --T 16:45, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill Would this really make the game more A: Balanced or B: Fun? --Tolthalan 21:57, 18 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Nerfs mall sieges. Maybe if it just made it easier for that person to be revived (requires less of a syringe, and hence few AP?). --Saluton 00:25, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - No Auto-reviving. --–Spraycan Willy MalTel·T 21:59, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Not a bad idea, but it will unbalance he game completely... -CrazyArcher 22:17, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - This costs a lot of AP. Compensating for something? Costly =/= balanced. --Magentaine 22:53, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - I've got a better idea: why don't all you Mrh Cows act like zombies for once? If you'd even briefly terrorize the living this game would feel a lot more like a zombie apocalypse.--Jiangyingzi 03:21, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Only if you guys will play as dedicated survivors when we combat revive you. --Magentaine 05:58, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Have done, personally. I'm all about that idea. But that's another discussion.--Jiangyingzi 23:10, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- :) I terrorize the living as a zombie, I'm not too great at it, but hey, It's a lot more fun than standing at a revive point waiting for some punk to reive a PKer. -- SgtBop
- Only if you guys will play as dedicated survivors when we combat revive you. --Magentaine 05:58, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Very Strong Kill This isn't Zelda, boi, you can't just keep a few fairies in some bottles to bring you back when you're being dumb. While we're at it, why not just get rid of attacking? That way, no one would even need to inject the syringes! Save you all some time right there. -- SgtBop 19:39, 22 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill As Uncle Bill and for grave balance concerns, Magentaine has a good point. But as zombies have a way out of playing as survivors, I'm not going to declare this stupid or taboo. As for every poster who complains about autorevive & revive points and Mrh Cows and also complain about combat revives or play as deathcultist when revived? Just one message; either play both sides as well or shut the fuck up you hypocritical asshole.-- Vista +1 20:00, 28 June 2007 (BST)
- kill Unless changed, this seems unfair to zed-kind everywhere. Padfu-Zomfu 05:36, 4 July 2007 (BST)
Spam/Dupe Votes
- Spam - No, no, no! The whole point is that when you die, you rise as a zombie... preventing zombification would mean permanent death, not rising as a human. Besides which, it would totally screw the game (there are already too few zombie players) -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 16:42, 18 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - No auto-reviving. This spoils the game mechanic drastically --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 16:54, 18 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam For a few Ap and XP gives a survivor all the bonuses of a zombie with noe of the weaknesses. Would break the game as it stands.--Seventythree 19:39, 18 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - You must be kidding me. What kind of shit is this? --User:Axe27/Sig 20:03, 18 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - You kill better now you want to die better? No, just no.--karek 21:22, 18 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - No zombie vaccines! For RP purposes, think of that as NecroTech's ultimate goal, one that hasn't been reached yet. (It would end the game.) --Uncle Bill 03:21, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- WDB - You know, people should think about the game in it's entirety before posting suggestions.-- dǝǝɥs oʇ ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 06:11, 19 June 2007(BST)
- Spam - ..... no... just...no.. --wooty 09:22, 19 June 2007 (BST)
- WTFcentaurs Did I see this somewhere else before? Ah well, doesn't matter, because this is even worse than revive points. Can you not bear even a slight change in your gaming routine? Kalir FTW! Z/S UD Potato Words 07:14, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - As would break game. armareum 02:06, 22 June 2007 (BST)
- FTWcentuarnoodle - Try playing both sides before you suggest insta revives. This would defeat the purpose of killing survivors.--Wooty 21:00, 2 July 2007 (BST)
