Suggestion Type

Skill

Suggestion Scope

All players above level 10 (Zombie Hunters) except Gkers and others that destroy inanimate objects

Description

Okay I have been noticing in increasing circumstances that the only way to defend yourself from a large siege of zombies (or even pkers) is to continue killing them until they get too frustrated to continue. They just stand back up and start gnawing on your ear again and again. This skill will hopefully end that. Basically, if you are a 'certified zombie killer' you now have the opportunity to make zombies lives(or un-lives maybe) far harder. By buying this skill you now have a chance to disembody (or decapitate, castrate, etc.) a zombie. The effects will be severe. Instead of being able to stand up. The zombie/pk victim will be spawned in a random suburb as he/she was in the beginning of the game. Hopefully they will be far away but since it is randomized they may end up right next door. The inspiration for this is from countless zombie movies in which the only way to effectively kill a zombie is to cut off all of its limbs. In the movies, they actually KILL the zombies. But in Urban Dead, the respawned player is a clone of his old, limbless other. I'm hoping this may make the survivor odds a little higher in large sieges on buildings. There is a catch however...

Cutting off limbs is not easy with a pistol, so this skill should be limited only to those with edged weapons(such as the fire axe) and high powered weapons(such as shotguns). Also as I said earlier, there is only a chance that you can do it. I was thinking of, say, 50 percent? There is no experience penalty for this so it's only worthwhile for shrinking the relentless numbers attacking you. You have to wait until level ten so it's not like this skill will be widespread all over Malton. One may say it would make zombie players too frustrated, but isn't that how we've gotten rid of them countless times before?

Also when a human is killed, he may be able to choose to return as one of the dead, or respawn randomly in the city. This will(hopefully) prevent the abundance of zombies in revive points for players who just don't want to be a zombie. If they are being hassled by pkers, it would also be good to move away from that area. Zombies must be revived the normal way and all zombies who are killed as zombies must 'return' as zombies, but if level ten 'Flesh eater' zombies want to buy something such as 'Devour' they can create the same effect on survivors

It can be changed so please don't kill it right away. I'm only trying to make UD a better place. Plus decapitating zombies is a VERY satisfying experience.

  1. Spam - teleporting other players without their will is a bad idea. And once you put suggestion on voting it will be shot down if bad, this is not a development area. Use Developing Suggestions if you want a feedback first --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 08:05, 24 July 2007 (BST)
  2. What? - Why would taking somebody's head off transport them 5 suburbs away? Every time some idiot decides to kill at a revive point, suddenly, I'm two days away when I said I should be up in about 10 hours!--Labine50 MHG|MEMS 09:21, 24 July 2007 (BST)
  3. Spam - This is the most utterly retarded suggestion i have ever seen, even worse than the ones for crucifixes and magic (not even magic crucifixes can hold a candle to this). Even if we forget for a moment the fact that this would be purchased by most able bodied harmanz in an eyeblink, this would completely and utterly destroy zombie metagame (Which is, unfortunately, pretty much the only way zombies can get into buildings and confiscate your brains, though in your case, i think we could eat yours and no one would be able to tell the difference), furthermore, it is a zombies rot given right to sit in a revive queue and soak up the needles of the stupid. Revive queues are a player designed construct, not something you have a right to. Here is an equivelant to your suggestion, but from the other side of mortality: "Humans cannot do anything but attack when zombies are indoors. Barricades cannot go above loosely, doors are always open, Humans have 10HP MAX and 11 with Bodybuilding and start off infected, and autobuy brain rot when they die.". Neither of us want anything like that, so why do you want to cripple zombies irretrivably? Because you want to "win"? I know the rules regarding flaming, but seriously, this deserves it: Fuck off and die. --Grim s-Mod U! 09:53, 24 July 2007 (BST)
  4. Spam - Mostly what Grim said. This essentially removes the need for strategy in fending off a siege.--Kali Magdalene 10:06, 24 July 2007 (BST)
  5. Spam - This is unbalanced, abusive, and irredeemable. It upsets me. There Seventythree, happy now that I've civilized my original phrasing? Also, you put your vote beneath the break, I've moved it to the proper place. --Mold12:06, 24 July 2007 (BST)
  6. Spam - Wow, that is beyond stupid. I'm at a loss for words with this one. I'd sure like to have some of the whatever CORN! has been smoking. -- BraggledorthAU10 10:10, 24 July 2007 (BST)
  7. Spam Realy no nead to swear about it, Mould, It is just a game, but yeah, not a very good suggestion at all.--Seventythree 11:56, 24 July 2007 (BST)
  8. Spam - As above. Except, who gives a shit about swearing. 'arm. 12:15, 24 July 2007 (BST)
