Description: | I'm proposing that the buttons "Close the doors" and "Barricade the building" switch places. Why? Because if the doors are open when you start barricading, the barricade-button moves left because the door-button vanishes. Several times I've ended up accidentally searching the building because the button moves. If the locations were switched, the barricade-button would stay in the same place. Just a tiny change to make things a more comfortable. |
Discussion (Door and Barricade Buttons Switch Places)
Although it's not a severely needed thing, I don't see why it shouldn't be implimented. I too have made the mistake several times while being on 'auto pilot' when playing. I bet someone will say 'be less lazy', but mistakes happen. This is a way to stop those mistakes from occuring, simple as. Acoustic Pie 18:29, 4 October 2008 (BST)
I say put it up for voting. There isn't really anything that can be worked on here, its fairly simple. although i will point out that there have been suggestions for reorganizing the control interface before, and usually people don't care about the convenience factor. not to say this won't pass. - tylerisfat 00:37, 5 October 2008 (BST)
What about the other people on auto pilot that remember the buttons move? Just because it is annoying to some doesn't mean it is annoying to all. I don't think this is needed.--– Nubis NWO 00:53, 5 October 2008 (BST)
Meh, I'd go for keep. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 19:35, 5 October 2008 (BST)
I have the same problem, usually after I repair a building and thus really need the APs.
This is however a problem that could be solved without any server-side work, via a GM script or browser extension. Swiers 19:38, 5 October 2008 (BST)
- Which I plan to write anyway unless Kevan breaks speed records in implementing this. It's just that buttons-not-moving is a better choice in interfaces, and it should be the people who want it to move that should have to use a script or extension (which I can also write if this does get implemented). --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 20:04, 5 October 2008 (BST)
Slow down... --WanYao 20:18, 6 October 2008 (BST) Gah what was I thinking? Yeah, in the middle of a live siege, this a nuisance. But, so are "bouncing buttons" in general... You know what I mean... --WanYao 20:20, 6 October 2008 (BST)
