Suggestion description
I'm proposing that the buttons "Close the doors" and "Barricade the building" switch places. Why? If the doors are open when you start barricading, the barricade-button moves left because the door-button vanishes. Several times I've ended up accidentally searching the building because the button moves. If the locations were switched, the barricade-button would stay in the same place. Just a tiny change to make things a more comfortable.

- Keep - Same as above. --Haliman - Talk 12:39, 8 October 2008 (BST)
- Keep – While a minor change, and can be achieved easily with Greasemonkey, principles of design favour decreasing options in favour of making good choices. I see no reason not to do this – as alluded to by others, those who read the buttons every time will be no worse off, and those who click repetitively will benefit. ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾᚨᚾᛏ 16:48, 8 October 2008 (BST)

- Keep - As others, doesn't hurt. - tylerisfat 21:08, 8 October 2008 (BST)
- One shouldn't be required to use outside scripts to do things that can be easily done in game.--Pesatyel 02:31, 9 October 2008 (BST)
- keep - down with bouncing buttons. --WanYao 07:17, 10 October 2008 (BST)

- Keep - As above, a good idea. It's the small things that add up.--Drawde Talk To Me! DORIS Яed Яum Defend Ridleybonk! I know Nothing! 16:04, 13 October 2008 (BST)
- Keep --Kolechovski 22:50, 14 October 2008 (BST) Unjustified vote struck. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 23:03, 14 October 2008 (BST)
- Keep - It does more harm than good, and will reduce wasted action points (i dont think getting confused whether you are barricading or searching for a shot gun has any place in the lore) --Tjayh913 00:58, 18 October 2008 (BST)
- Keep - Eh,
I've never been bothered by it, but it's not a bad idea, and doesn't hurt anyone. If it makes the interface a bit easier to navigate, why not tweak it? (Oops...actually, I have done this several times. And it is rather annoying to search a museum or arms when I didn't mean to. :P) --Jen 04:27, 21 October 2008 (BST)
Kill Votes
- Kill - You've had three years to get used to the interface, write a greasemonkey script if you're too idle to move your mouse. -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 13:47, 8 October 2008 (BST)
- Like I said on Talk:Suggestions, I very much plan to do that unless Kevan breaks speed records in implementing this. It's just that buttons-not-moving is a better choice in interfaces. It should be the people who want it to move (if such people actually exist) that have to use a script or extension (which I can also write if this does get implemented). Why force the worse choice on the newbies and those who don't like it? --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 15:11, 8 October 2008 (BST)
- Why should those of us who like the current system, and are coherent enough to read the button before they press it having to change? For three years the system has been like this, and now you've decided you want to change it? No. You change, or you write the script. The game interface should not have to change for your own personal convenience. -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 15:16, 8 October 2008 (BST)

- kill Useless suggestion is useless, I have never encountered this problem. anyways, you should close the doors before starting to cade up.Padfu-Zomfu 15:59, 8 October 2008 (BST)
- kill because if the door is left open when you barricade everyone should be able to use it thus wasting all your efforts in reinforcing the windows :) --Honestmistake 14:52, 13 October 2008 (BST)
- Kill What Iscariot said. Furthermore, this is anecdotal but I've recently gained the Barricade skill on some of my human survivors so I am a sort of barricade newbie. I have never had this problem of hitting the search button by accident, and one of my characters barricades a lot. --Silisquish 05:00, 18 October 2008 (BST)
- Kill - Jesus, why do we bother kevin about such trivial matters? He dosn't need to do this. Just stop being in such a rush about barricading. --Angusburger 17:22, 22 October 2008 (BST)
