A lot (all?) of the actions mentioned here are common sense and decency but writing them down should help remind people of them. If you can think of any other things that would be good here, add them in. --  T   14:32, 30 August 2007 (BST)

Joining?

Hi. Firstly, I've not been always been a saint in the past, but I've tried hard to change my ways after I realised that little gets achieved through ridicule and harshness. I support this project, and would like to join if you'd have me. -- Pavluk 14:34, 30 August 2007 (BST)

We'd love to have you! We want to have as many members as possible, that way we can make the biggest impact on the community. Welcome aboard! --  T   14:44, 30 August 2007 (BST)

No Need

I think I know what this 'group' is really similar to. I think it's called Project Welcome. It does a lot of the similar things that this group does, funnily enough. Why not just haev a discussion on W!'s page about adding this stuff to it? --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 12:14, 17 September 2007 (BST)

To keep a consistent style with the other projects, this page was heavily based off Project Welcome (and Project Mentor too), and certainly there is overlap between those two groups and Project Atmosphere in that a pleasant atmosphere can make the place more welcoming, and a 'Welcome!' message can make the place more pleasant. I think there is a significant difference in that the other projects focus on helping newbies, whereas this project would try to make the wiki a more friendly place for all editors, regardless of whether they've just arrived or whether they've been here since the wiki started. --Toejam 14:04, 17 September 2007 (BST)
I completely agree with Toejam.--  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 20:58, 17 September 2007 (BST)

THANK YOU

I've been waiting for a group like this. I think the duscussion page especially needs it. BoboTalkClown 01:22, 11 October 2007 (BST)

Is it just me or has the atmosphere on the wiki got a whole lot worse recently?--SeventythreeTalk 23:10, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Hey, anything that makes it easier to integrate new people into the wiki. As a "pretty new user", I can say it was really hard to figure out how everything worked and was really intimidated by the "senior wiki users".. (still am a touch) But I'll chip in wherever & I however I can. I think this group is a great idea--Airborne88Zzz1.JPGT|Z.Quiz|PSS 02:39, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
