Editing and Removal?
I'm sort of disgruntled someone edited this article in these ways:
1. Removed the Template (which directly notified the reader the author group of the arcticle).
2. Removal of certain teams, re-written material in a less technical way.
3. Editing of the war box, which resulted in several text errors.
4. No notification of noted removal and editing was notified to me, and in a way I feel cheated of the time I put into writing the article under my already busy schedule. --Cited Literature Critc, Mead Sheaffer. 22:30, 22 October 2010 (BST)
- I'd post this on the talk page of the culprit if I was you. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 22:37, 22 October 2010 (BST)
- "Please note that all contributions to The Urban Dead Wiki may be edited, altered, or removed by other contributors. If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly, then don't submit it here."
- Because you have created this in a public namespace, rather than your userspace or a groupspace, you no longer have sole editorial control of the article. One of the advantages of a community-edited resource is that articles can be improved from other editors with different viewpoints; the corresponding disadvantage is that you may not always agree with what they say. The other editor left their comments in the History, and they make some valid points. Their intention was to help improve the article, not to undermine your authority. A wiki isn't really a "us" vs "them" sorta thing. Try contacting them on their talk page and working things out. -MHSstaff 22:42, 22 October 2010 (BST)
- ^ This. You can retain the version you want in your userspace, but a public page is subject to editing from all fronts. 22:48, 22 October 2010 (BST)
- I don't like my talk page, just yell at me here. --VVV RPMBG 01:25, 23 October 2010 (BST)
- Very well, never mind then, rules will be rules and I'll abide by them. --Cited Literature Critc, Mead Sheaffer. 23:52, 24 October 2010 (BST)
