Bug Reports
Outage Reports
- The site will be down for approximately 24-48 hours due to EveryDNS.net being discontinued. I've set up the domain to use afraid.org's servers, but it will take some time to propagate. My apologies for the down time. - HaliphaxTCS 17:37, 1 September 2011 (BST)
- UDWitness was down from about mid-day 2009-09-17 to mid-morning 2009-09-18, intermittently. My hosting provider (or their domain controller) dropped the ball, and I apologize. I may be moving to a new hosting provider soon. - HaliphaxTCS 17:07, 18 September 2009 (BST)
- Down again from approximately 8:00AM CDT 2009-09-21 to 9:30AM CDT 2009-09-22. VPS host wiped my DNS CNAME records for subdomains while "fixing" the prior DNS problems. - HaliphaxTCS 15:19, 22 September 2009 (BST)
- More stupid downtime from my stupid service provider. More news as it develops. - HaliphaxTCS 19:30, 17 October 2009 (BST)
- My hosting provider is at it again. VPS is experiencing connectivity issues since approximately 8:00AM CST. - HaliphaxTCS 16:43, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
Suggestions
- Shorter URLs. Thing is, UDwitness URLs are really very long; it's messy to include a screenie in a speech line or mobile phone message, and I think it's impossible to broadcast one. I often revert to dumbwit for "informal" screenies I want to share in-game, just because of this (compare: [1] [2]). Maybe names could be shortened only for private records? Since all the info in the filename is useful in the public repository listing. This may be a bother to implement, but consider it for a future version. - I'll take it under advisement. Having the hash information in the filename is part of what makes the hash worthwhile, however, so it might be a little trickier than you would imagine. Public and private records must both meet the same standards in order to get UDWitness accepted by the RG. I'll brainstorm this weekend and see what I can come up with. Until then, I would suggest a service like bit.ly. - HaliphaxTCS 14:23, 6 October 2009 (BST)
Complaints

- With regard to the recent UD changes, UDWitness has been fixed. Resume screenshotting as usual. :) - HaliphaxTCS 17:46, 27 September 2010 (BST)
- UDWitness now has a private repository feature! Update your bookmarklets. - HaliphaxTCS 16:10, 3 October 2009 (BST)
