Some are NecroTech Buildings and can be identified by the "[NT]" appended to their name if you have the NecroTech Employment skill. Office buildings are tall enough for survivors to commit suicide from. They also provide a vantage point from which binoculars can be used. Office buildings can be barricaded normally.

5/22/2009 You are inside the Lawrance Building. The building has been quite strongly barricaded. Also here are Zack Mahler (46HP), flowbee37 (46HP), Drake Clark (46HP) and Syngenta (50HP).The lobby has been decorated with a stuffed lion head, a stuffed crocodile, a stuffed monkey and a stuffed bear.Somebody has spraypainted Keep Max VSB++ onto a wall.There is a dead body here.--Dr Mycroft Chris 02:44, 23 May 2009 (BST)
