History
Oscar Pepperelle was born in may 14 1793 3 minutes before his twin brother. Oscar often had a sibling rivalry with his brother but this was quelled when his brother became an officer in the army. Oscar went then to the University of Glasgow and received a Doctor of Letters degree in philosophy. He then returned to Malton to work on his book "Man is Man and Nothing Else." where he takes an in depth look at Egalitarianism. The book became a controversial subject , due to the fact that it was written in 1832 when england was deciding on if it was going to abolish slave ownership. Most say that the book swayed england into making the slavery abolition act. And there fore he was considered a hero of human rights.
