St. Spyridon's Church (Osmondville)
Description
The pews have been ripped up to barricade the doors, and the once beautiful stained glass windows are smashed. Prayers to St. Spyridon to stop the plague of Malton , written on whatever scrap paper survivors could find, blow in the breeze.
History
The church were named after St. Spyridon, who were born in a peasant family around 270 AD, in Asha, in Cyprus. He entered a monastery shortly after the death of his wife. He is said to have saved both Corfu, which he is the patron saint of, and Venice from destruction.
