Jjames vs. Karlsbad

Karlsbad Called me a "troll lawyer" and suggested that scinfaxi and I were the same person. Called my misconduct case malicous and retalitory. (What was I supposed to be retalialting against anyway?) These are bad faith, because he can't prove his claims. I really think this could have been solved civily, but karlsbad refuses to behave in an unbiased moderator-like manner.Jjames 07:54, 18 July 2006 (BST)

I accept Sonny, but I will be away from a computer (and most roadways, actually) starting Sunday, so I will post the following as a preliminary case; I do have the opinion that Jjames is an alt of Scinfaxi, and it is my opinion that said sockpuppet is created to defend Scinfaxi because no one else will. I am unaware of this precedent. Amazing brought me into arbitration for a month without ever posting a single piece of evidence against me and was allowed to resubmit the case after it was dropped several times for lack of evidence. If I have a time limit despite how it was handled last time, then why doesn't the defendant? It seems like all he has to do is never post anything and he will win by default.Jjames 20:17, 9 August 2006 (BST)

Jjames' Case

[3] [4] This is where he implies me and Scinfaxi are alts. He can't prove this. We are roommates and occasionally share a computer. He forgot to log me out before posting once. Also, I generally don't defend Scinfaxi and have more often disagreed with him. Why would he create an alt that occasionally calls him lame and tells him to stop posting? Karlsbad is entitled to his opinion, but is not entitled to make statements of fact about me being an alt. That is bad faith.Jjames 22:44, 5 August 2006 (BST)

Karlsbad's Case

Hmm, well, I'm back today/tonight/whatever. So anyway, my case is mostly non-existant at this point, but that is because I don't feel bothered to defend my right to hold or state my opinion as I have. Furthermore I feel that I never used my statements of opinion in a non-appropriate manner; as such they were never, if I remember correctly, placed onto pages in which they did not belong in as much as they would be appropriate to the discussion- discussing Scinfaxi being defended by Jjames once again, acting in much the same manner, and never working in cross-purposes would REQUIRE a statement by myself that I hold the opinion that they are one-and-the-same if I was ever to comment upon any issue at hand for the better understand of the other editors. As well I would like to state that for said comments to be presented as fact they would have to be used in such a manner in which they are used to beg the question; E.G. "ban Scinfaxi, as he is Jjames" requires the first section (ban Scinfaxi) to be supported by the second (he is Jjames). However, if I spoke in such a manner as "this is statement is true" it is by nature an opinion and unless used as a support for another action it should not be misinturpreted as fact.

Secondly, I submit that the entire purpose of this case was as a threat to get me to capitulate to Jjames/Scinfaxi's demands (as seen here), which is very much evidence of bad faith as an editor. Furthermore I submit a counter-claim that because Jjames is Scinfaxi's sockpuppet (as seen [5] here), both accounts should be banned accordingly (the Jjames account permenently, Scinfaxi's account once for any vote that both Jjames and he voted on, possibly doubled as-per the "alt-warnings-given-to-original-poster" rule). --Karlsbad 06:32, 19 August 2006 (BST)

That is the normal version of arbitration- however Sonny hasn't really set ground-rules so its not a true failing. However, I will clean up my bit and move it into the correct section and delete the offending reply forth-with. --Karlsbad 06:32, 19 August 2006 (BST)

Ruling

Ok. After reading this over and the God vs. Bob Hammero case I'm not going to rule in favor of anyone. Instead I'm going to ask Karlsbad to try and not call Jjamas Scinfaxi. I'm going to ask you Jjames not to get upset if people call you Scinfaxi because like you said, you share a computer and sometimes log in as each other. I think that is fair.
