I created Raine to play as a PKer. I started as a doctor because I thought it'd be interesting to have a player killer in the scientist class. Starting out, I played as a survivor to start leveling up, and spent a lot of time in hospitals and NTs. During that time, I changed my mind with going the PKer route, and joined the Malton Medical Staff.
MMS was lots of fun and the people were really nice. I mean, what's NOT to like about them? :D I actually got killed by the RRF and Gore Corps several times, as the MMS was in Roftwood, being so close to Ridleybank. I ended up getting the PKer itch, though, so I parted ways with MMS so I could start PKing.
The Gore Corps intrigued me, and I had wanted to join them for a while. I already had a character in the RRF, but that one had Brain Rot so I couldn't join the Gore Corps with her. I had several RRF friends in GC, but I didn't know much about how it really worked because of the "no zombie spying" policy (they were prohibited from sharing "breather information" of any kind to me, a career zed), which made me ever more curious to join.
Since Raine was unaffiliated, I left the RRF with my rotter and reapplied with Raine for the Gore Corps. The Gore Corps requires individuals to already have specific skills before joining, so it took a while before I could actually join because I didn't have those skills yet. It felt like ages to level because I was PKing for XP, but Papa Moloch let me join a bit early, which was nice. Raine officially became a death cultist in the Gore Corps for the Ridleybank Resistance Front on December 1, 2008.
