Masque the Hunter is a zombie hunter living off the streets of Malton. He's keeping a journal of his exploits here... so check back if you care what he's doing. Just needed something to pass the time.

My profile:[1]

1st entry: Not a good way to start this. I died in Wykewood, Northeastern corner, by the Quaney Hotel. If you see a zombie swaying there, drop a cheery revive to me. --Masque the Hunter 00:27, 19 April 2006 (BST)

2nd entry: Still dead, I have now shambled over to the cemetary South of St. Caius's Church. All Revives welcome! --Masque the Hunter 21:12, 23 April 2006 (BST)

3rd entry: Life never felt so good. After finally managing to be near a revive point, a kind scientist revived me. I have swiftly made my way over to Frossard PD in Lockettside. Their grafitti suggested a not friendly policy to non-members but I assured them i'd only be staying the night, and would move on the morrow. I also barricaded the PD up to VS for them using my last few action points as board for staying there. Life never felt so good. --Masque the Hunter 04:25, 27 April 2006 (BST)

4th entry: Well, I blew up a Zombie outside Frossard and FINALLY got Headshot, to be considered a "real" Zombie Hunter. I left Frossard as it was being broken into and abandoned. I now rest a few blocks away. --Masque the Hunter 04:25, 28 April 2006 (BST)

5th entry: I have abandoned Frossard entirely after doing my best to defend it. With the new Ransacking addition, my hit and run tactics have now failed me. I now reside near another Police Station in Lockettside, this one powered so I can fuel up for my upcoming trip. I'm planning on visiting another friend in the world of Malton. --Masque the Hunter 01:02, 1 May 2006 (BST)

6th entry: The police department I was in had its barricades blown out by some zombies, and they took out the generator to lower our searching odds. I helped oust them and then barricaded it back up. That's pretty much it for now. --Masque the Hunter 02:19, 4 May 2006 (BST)

7th entry: I was killed by a horde of zombies that came through while I was gone. I shuffled my way over to the closest Revive Point using all but one of my AP's. I was handily and quickly revived. Kudos to you, scientist. Also, the table of my skills and why in chronological order has been added. I was bored. --Masque the Hunter 02:43, 5 May 2006 (BST)

8th entry: Well, all my preparation for mall defense is coming in handy as I now inhabit a mall. Just stocking up and gaining some levels. I will be travelling on an adventure soon, don't worry. --Masque the Hunter 03:51, 9 May 2006 (BST)

9th entry: Blew up a few extra zombies, nothing much to report other than gaining two levels. Still stocking up. --Masque the Hunter 06:22, 13 May 2006 (BST)

10th entry: I'm still leveling up. And stocking up. I now have a mobile phone! So don't hesitate to contact me. I'm still in Lockettside, so check if the power is on! --Masque the Hunter 02:57, 18 May 2006 (BST)

11th entry: Summertime makes killing zombies feel good... That's all I got. it's a work in progress. New skill that I can get. Shweet. --Masque the Hunter 05:48, 6 June 2006 (BST)

12th entry: The adventure I have promised you has begun. In the last two days I took a Free Running trek to the most famous mall ever... Caiger Mall --Masque the Hunter 03:05, 12 June 2006 (BST)

13th entry: I have neglected posting here for some time, however, I would like to note that I heard V's emissary at Silley Park speak. I was participating in the extravaganza as best I could. 5th of November, I await you.... --Masque the Hunter 20:51, 23 August 2006 (BST)

14th entry: Phew, it's been a while hasn't it? I've been here and there and everywhere fighting Zeds wherever they've reared their ugly mugs. I participated in the 5th of November, which was quite a fight indeed, and since then I've been wandering. I came back to Lockettside, and am still looking for a use for myself. If you have one, shout one out for me. --Masque the Hunter 04:49, 1 April 2008 (BST)

Level 1 - Basic Firearms Training

(Player gets +25% to hit with all firearms attacks.)

Yeah, I started as a Private. The beginning of my adventure. Shooting stuff.
Level 2 - Pistol Training

(An extra +25% to hit with a pistol.)

Ability to shoot slightly better with handguns. Here's where the exp starts coming in.
Level 3 - Advanced Pistol Training

(An extra +10% to hit with a pistol.)

Alrighty, now I have pretty good marksmanship and can kill zombies to reap exp. Sweet.
Level 4 - Free Running

(Can move between adjacent buildings without stepping outside.)

I was sick of not being able to get into certain PD's and such. Saved my bacon a few times by having it too.
Level 5 - Shotgun Training

(An extra +25% to hit with a shotgun.)

When a measly five damage just won't do ya', up it to ten!
Level 6 - Advanced Shotgun Training

(An extra +10% to hit with a shotgun.)

Hurr. I blews a hole in you. From way over dere...
Level 7 - Hand-to-Hand Combat

(+15% to melee attacks.)

This is what I was getting for working my way up to axes. I hated relying on ammo all the time.
Level 8 - Body Building

(Player has a maximum of 60 Hit Points instead of 50.)

I was planning on getting axes here, but I mysteriously gained 100 EXP quickly and I went for this while I had the points.
Level 9 - Axe Proficiency

(An extra +15% when attacking with an axe.)

I'll put out your fire zombie.... With this huge axe! *Chunk!*
Level 10 - Construction

(Player is able to barricade buildings.)

Well, since being left out in the open is sometimes hazardous to my health... Not only that, I wanted to do my part for my fellow survivors in the defense of buildings.
Level 11 - Headshot

(If you kill a zombie, it must spend an extra 5AP to stand up.)

Finally being recorded as an actual Zombie Hunter, I now walk proudly in Malton... when i'm not trying to stay alive.
Level 12 - Shopping

(Player may choose which stores to loot, when searching a mall.)

I'm planning on helping to defend malls here and there. Might as well get ready.
Level 13 - Bargain Hunting

(Player is 25% more likely to find something when searching a mall.)

Once again, i'm going to defend malls now and again. Plus, it was only 100 EXP. And malls are handy ammo caches now.
Level 14 - NecroTech Employment

(Player is able to operate DNA Extractors, and can identify NecroTech offices from the street.)

It helps me by seeing where I can get a revive when i'm dead, and I need this to get the next two skills. Plus, as soon as I find a DNA Extractor it can net me some EXP maybe.
Level 15 - Lab Experience

(Player can recognise and operate basic-level NecroTech equipment.)

Revivifying is a skill that is widely used and needed by the survivor community. Hence why I chose it.
Level 16 - NecroNet Access

(Player can access terminals in powered NT buildings, allowing map scans and syringe manufacture.)

Kind of like revivifying, syringe manufacture is one of those uberly helpful things that are useful to all survivors and doubly uberly useful during mall sieges.
Level 17 - Diagnosis

(The HP values of nearby survivors are displayed next to their name.)

This lets me use my extra Med Packs to some good use during mall sieges, without wasting action points. Also can net me a little extra experience.
Level 18 - Knife Combat

(An extra +15% when attacking with a knife.)

Chosen for flavor only, plus I had a little extra experience that I wanted to blow. Good stuff, good stuff.
Level 19 - Tagging

(Player's spraycans last longer. XP bonuses are awarded for tagging certain buildings.)

I had the experience and it's the last non-scientist skill I needed. Well, i'm off to vandalize things!
Level 20 - First Aid

(Player is able to heal an extra 5HP when using a first-aid kit.)

One of the last human skills I need. Plus, it helps me be more self-reliant.
Level 21 - Surgery

(Player can heal a further 5HP if working in a hospital with power.)

I am now a licensed doctor. Shweet.
Level 22 - Radio Operation

(Player is able to broadcast within the restricted 26.00-28.00 MHz range.)

Testing... Testing... Masque is now broadcasting across Malton.
Level 23 - Lurching Gait

(Zombie can walk as fast as the living.)

Very helpful in allowing me to haul over to a revive point.
Level 24 - Ankle Grab

(Zombie only spends 1AP standing up.)

Saves on action points, both when standing up after death, and after being revived.
Level 25 - Memories of Life

(Zombie is able to open doors to buildings.)

I'll probably get all non-attacking skills until the end of my Zombie-skill acquiring run here.
Level 26 - Death Rattle

(Zombie is able to communicate through a limited, groaned form of speech.)

Now I'll be able to communicate while I'm dead. Kinda.
