Surviving In New cities
With the creation of both Monroeville and Borehamwood parts of guides, such as First Day in Malton don't always offer you the best advice.
In the beginning
The following has been true of both secondary cities.
- No necrotechs
With No Revivification syringes, when you die, you die.
- Radio Transmitters
A number of buildings (Both PD's and Fire Stations), once powered have a transmitter (It must be found by searching)
Things that are useless
Due to the lack of Necrotech buildings, several skills are useless.
These skills are: Necrotech employment, Lab Experience and Necronet Access. These skills can still be purchased as normal, but the Lab Assistant class is unavailable.
Starting Class
Because of the lack of revives being a scientist is pretty stupid. You're much more XP effecient to ignore the class, and then get the skills you need (Diagnoses, First Aid) Later.
So what about civilians? Good Bet, 100xp a skill?
Again not really.
In the beginning of any perma death city the Only Class you should pick is Private.
What?
You don't need free running yet. No one has construction and no zombies can open doors. What you need is the simplest form of gaining xp. It goes like this.
Find a police Department. (If you're really flash go to a factory first to get a genny and fuel)
Search for ammo until you're 100% encumbered. (In the process you should find a flak jacket and a radio. Keep hold of these.
Go and shoot zombies. There are normally lots in the street in the games early days.
Levelling
Simple.
