User talk:BobHammero/Sandbox/Making the Policies Not Suck/Protection of Pages

This is actually the only part of the guidelines that I can't find fatal flaws on... maybe because Bob revised it 1 month ago =). Anyways, only moderators can unprotect pages right? the page doesn't mention that at all, and no user can make a "request for unprotection". This should be included somehow on the wording should the need to unprotect a page arise, i.e. Amazing pages that were protected by my request and if he comes back the only way for him to edit his own pages will be giving him Moderator status again (God spare us from that). --Matthew Fahrenheit YRC | T | W! 17:13, 9 August 2006 (BST)
- Heh. I find that idea quite amusing. Just leaving it protected. Mainly because of how envisage his reaction would be. Anyway: Some suggestions:
- Add another section to M/PT for unprotecting pages.
- Remove the "specific page's Talk: page". Why? Who the fuck checks those regularly? Make it a centralised page instead. Maybe a third section to M/PT "for requesting a major change", and simply allowing users to bug a moderator of their choice to fix minor things like a typo or such.
