The problem with large clip sizes is they destroy any upward limit on how AP you invest one day into a slaughter the next. So for a PKer like me who uses shotgun for maximum AP efficiency in bursts its just too damn good. Currently I carry 15 loaded shotgun, and only that many because They take up so much space to effectively carry more. Powered mall searching means I can get that in about 100 AP worth of searching. With my group together and your new and improved shotguns my group of five could probably kill 25-30 people in under a minute, meaning I could probably take out an entire PD or small mall section before anybody could do shit. A pretty bad violation of Kevan's "slow pace" game tenet. Also if the pistols had 15 bullets per clip, they'd become widly unbalanced to shotguns in overall AP efficiency, which is to say nothing about axes. The only thing that limits guns versus axes is their ammunition capacity, so this would just screw all sorts of things up. As for the names, its just a zombie genre thing.
