Hai!

Welcome to the Urban Dead wiki site. If you have any hiccups getting going, our help section should be of some use; or if you need anything in particular, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Since you apparently plan to create a zombie horde, and I'm a pro-death extremist, I can be disproportionately helpful to you. Regardless, good luck in your quest for brains. --VVV RPMBG 00:11, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Also, I noticed you uploaded the picture Image:Zombie Eat Brainzzz.jpg. If you want to keep it around for a while you should put the picture on your userpage or in your talk page here. Unused images usually get deleted after a week to save hard drive space on the servers. See you around!--GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 13:16, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Sourmash

What's the deal with Sourmash? Will it be an event for multiple groups? Or something about your zombie group? Or something completely different? Point is that it is uncategorized, and I have no clue what this page is meant to be about.

If it is something about your group (like a group operation), it would also need to moved into your group space, with your group name going in front and a slash and the page name following (i.e. Gray Matter Matters/Sourmash). That's where all group subpages belong. -- Spiderzed 12:45, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

I think it might be about his character. In which case it would go to User:Jbirdtexas. --VVV RPMBG 20:10, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
I've moved it to User:Jbirdtexas/Sourmash -- boxy talkteh rulz 23:08 18 December 2010 (BST)

No guys....I am sourmash. I am trying to start a group under Gray Matter Matters. jbirdtexas is a name I signed in under at some point and now I am sorta stuck with it. So to honor my role as a Zombie I wanted a user page for myself. I have been Sourmash since I played my first AP back in 05. I love my username and needed a page. Am I clogging things up?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jbirdtexas (talkcontribs) 00:11, December 19, 2010.

There's a few options for that. You can use User:Sourmash as a new account, and just leave a note on this profile that you're him and have given up this account (just for future reference). You could also keep this profile instead, and with {{Custom Title}} and a new sig, have it appear to be named Sourmash instead of Jbirdtexas - for example, User:Misanthropy/MainKnight is a version of my userpage that has been made to look as though the account is called GX, not Misanthropy. One of our former sysops, Aichon, also keeps this signiture for use sometimes, so as to appear to be named after his Knight character, and not Aichon. It's a more convoluted manner but it means you don't have to give up this account for a new one. For hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee 01:37, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
You're not causing any damage, we're just trying to keep everything within policy. The Gray Matter Matters page and any of its subpages, such as Gray Matter Matters/Example Subpage, essentially belong to the group's members (for now, just you); A userpage, such as User:Jbirdtexas, and any of its subpages, such as User:Jbirdtexas/Sourmash, belong to the user (you). So you have almost free reign over what goes on them. On the other hand, any page in the mainspace (which would have no prefix to its tile like User: or Template:), such as Sourmash or Suburb, must be either a group's page or a publicly useful glossary page. Since a page about your character is neither, it needs to be moved to one of your pages, like Misanthropy said. But User:Sourmash isn't your only option, you could also move it to:
  • User:Jbirdtexas/Sourmash - Many players have a different subpage for each of their characters, and should you ever have more than one that you want known, this would be a nice place to have it.
  • Gray Matter Matters/Sourmash - Some groups have a subpage for each of its members, and if you want GMM to do this, you may as well start.
Basically, you could put it on any page that's yours. --VVV RPMBG 02:02, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
