The Quandry

It's a question that has puzzled Malton's philosophers for entire seconds at a time. Just what is the barhah? Is it a state of mind, a philosophy to be followed; or is it a phenomenon, a wave of events given a name? Is it pro-death? Anti-life? Both? Is it the state of brotherhood between zambahz, or the goals they band together to achieve? And what about the role of the harmanz - are they always antagonistic to the barhah, or can they be attuned to its means and ends? All these questions and more have occupied Malton's greatest minds, usually only shaken loose when said minds are then occupied by yellowed teeth.

The Challenge

How do you define the barhah? On a personal level, we all have some notion as to what we feel it is, and here on the wiki, far from the prying eyes grasping hands of the crusading undead, is the time to get to the bottom of things. To this end, I'm opening up a writing contest, open for entry to absolutely anyone. Simply write a piece between 150 and 500 words describing your personal views on the matter, in a subpage of your namespace, and link it here. Being a contest, there will be a winner, but I won't be judging the peices - a winner will be determined via a vote, with each entrant picking their favourite entry (not including their own!) at the deadline. Try to keep your entries original but don't be off-the-wall just for the sake of it.

The contest will begin right away, and the final deadline for entry will be 00:00 GMT on Sunday 18th July (01:00 Monday 19th BST).

Due to some feedback from potential entrants, and slow progress, the deadline has been extended seven days to 00:00 GMT on Sunday 25th July (01:00 Monday 26th BST).
