Introduction to the OBR
Why? Because in all five of the suburbs that make up SW District 2, there is only one NecroTech building. That's right, only one. Naturally, this poses some unique obstacles for survivor groups operating in Crooketon, Grigg Heights, Lerwill Heights, Mornington, and Reganbank. The OBR bases itself out of not one, but all five of the above suburbs. They recognize that they are in a dangerous part of Malton, and that communication and teamwork are key. Most often you can find members of the OBR rebuilding the various suburbs or working to maintain the local MalTel locations. We're also partial to spending time drinking in the pubs, looking at fine art in the museums, or getting in some much needed reading at the local libraries. Generally speaking, the Order of the Black Rose tries to strike that careful balance between being serious about our duties and having fun while we're doing it.
The Order of the Black Rose also has a mobile sister group for those members looking for a change of pace from what can sometimes be the hum-drum of the Rose District. This group is collectively known as 404: Barhah Not Found. Their mission: go into red suburbs and make them green. Originally a separate group, 404 merged with the OBR in February 2010 due to a history of good relations between the two groups and dwindling membership in 404 as the OBR continued to see consistent gains. Finally by September 2010, 404 membership was back to comfortable levels to embark on their own once again. Members looking to work as members of this highly coordinated group should expect to be active both on the forum and in IRC, and should have skill with revivification syringes. Players may opt to work exclusively with 404: Barhah Not Found, exclusively with the Order of the Black Rose, or may freely move between the two groups. Group Goals & Objectives
The punishment for infractions vary from verbal warning, to expulsion from the group, based on frequency and severity of the infraction. The Order of the Black Rose is an equal rights group. Every member has a voice and is encouraged to provide opinions and comments on group operations and activities, provided they do not go against these rules. OBR Radio Frequency
The Order of the Black Rose does not have or utilize a radio frequency reserved for its use alone. Because of the nature of our operations it does not make sense to do so. Instead, all OBR broadcasts will be on radio frequency 26.12--this is the district radio frequency for SW-2. Broadcasts on this frequency should pertain to activities within the district that are public knowledge or should be public knowledge (status of the NT and various other TRPs, horde movements, etc.). Any information that falls outside this realm or require a degree of security should be left to the Order of the Black Rose forum. Supported Policies
Not everybody wants to be a shambling corpse.
If you poke three people, and each of them pokes three people...
Whenever necessary, we will defend ourselves and our territory from the zombie hordes by making them fight for every inch...
...but flexibility and adaptability are key to survival. So when that isn't an option, let the alternatives prevail.
