<div style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 90%; padding-left: 25px">Hmmm... where to start?  Well, I started playing Urban Dead in October 2007.  I currently play (or have played) all sides of Urban Dead: a survivor, zombie, PKer, bounty hunter, death cultist, and dual nature.


==Tactics==
I believe playing the game in those different roles has given me a well rounded understanding of the game, how it works, and respect for my opposition.  As a survivor I know exactly what to expect when defending against zombies, simply because I know what it's like to be on the other side of the barricades.  In turn, while playing as a zombie I know what survivors' weaknesses are because I've been in their position before.  The same goes for death culting, PKing, and bounty hunting.  Playing the game from more than one perspective is something I'd recommend to just about any player.


Some tactics I like
I'm also a big fan of [[Metagaming|'''<span style="color: #000000">metagaming</span>''']], and use forums/IRC pretty much everyday to coordinate and chat with other players (who are totally awesome). I've met some terrific people through metagaming in Urban Dead, and wouldn't trade them for the world.</div>

I think getting a low morality score on the quiz might have had something to do with my answer choice on the question involving what I would do if some guy mugged me and I found him two weeks later passed out on a park bench.  "Tie him to the bench, and when he wakes up perform Chinese nipple torture until he tells you what happened to the cash" seemed like a reasonable answer to me.

- Some things I've learned while playing Urban Dead
    - maybe make it a subpage
    - basically some game mechanics
    - explanations (like how the revive queue "stack(s)" work)
    - simple things I've learned
        - like when I was a newbie feral zombie I thought I was *trapped* inside a building - DOOMED to be headshot in there - once someone started barricading it because I couldn't get out by clicking the button "Leave (building name)", when really you can simply just click on an adjacent block to exit. (This was before cade blocking was implemented, actually, so standing in a building waiting to die didn't have much tactical value then). But that lack of knowledge - which I find very humorous now - is an example of one of those simple newbie misconceptions that I wish I picked up on earlier.
        - Another example - As a survivor, I used to think you had to shut the doors of a building before beginning to rebuild the barricades, but you can actually start rebuilding them with the doors open, which will save you 1AP.

Summary

Hmmm... where to start? Well, I started playing Urban Dead in October 2007. I currently play (or have played) all sides of Urban Dead: a survivor, zombie, PKer, bounty hunter, death cultist, and dual nature.

I believe playing the game in those different roles has given me a well rounded understanding of the game, how it works, and respect for my opposition. As a survivor I know exactly what to expect when defending against zombies, simply because I know what it's like to be on the other side of the barricades. In turn, while playing as a zombie I know what survivors' weaknesses are because I've been in their position before. The same goes for death culting, PKing, and bounty hunting. Playing the game from more than one perspective is something I'd recommend to just about any player.

I'm also a big fan of metagaming, and use forums/IRC pretty much everyday to coordinate and chat with other players (who are totally awesome). I've met some terrific people through metagaming in Urban Dead, and wouldn't trade them for the world.
