#'''Kill''' - not so bad, but incomplete. For example, you should specify how much AP it will cost, 1 like FAK's, or 10 like reviving? Either way, I prefer using FAK's to cure infections, and the "flavour" RPers will probably have a field day with the logic surrounding this change. --{{User:DanceDanceRevolution/sig3}} 06:53, 9 May 2010 (BST)

#'''Kill''' - As the suggester said [http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php?title=Suggestion_talk:20100509_Improved_Infection&oldid=1706413 on the talk page] that it takes just 1AP, this is hardly making infections more threatening, given the importance of needles. It would only hurt newbies without Freerunning, as virtually all NTs are at EHB. I see also Mis' point about potentially crippling death-culting if reviving really heals infection. --{{User:Spiderzed/Sandbox/Sig}} 15:24, 9 May 2010 (BST)

#'''Spam''' - As DDR said, there are major flavor issues since you're mistaking the infection for something else. The infection isn't related to zombies any more than the bubonic plague was related to rats or fleas. Zombies are carriers, but everyone becomes a zombie when they die, infected or not, and there's no evidence the infection is anything unusual or difficult to treat. Using a counter-zombie syringe to treat an infection makes no sense and is a massive nerf to survivors at their most vulnerable point. Can't be fixed without buffing syringe search rates, and that solution is unacceptable as well. {{User:Aichon/Signature}} 08:32, 9 May 2010 (BST)

20100509 Improved Infection

Alghul 06:41, 9 May 2010 (BST)

Suggestion type
Skill Improvement, Flavor

Suggestion scope
Zombies

Description and Effect

  • Curing an infection requires a NecroTech Revivification Syringe. One application will cure the infection and all its effects.

Suggestion description
In most every zombie story the infection is an incurable and gruesome element of what we think of as the modern zombie. In terms of a game where characters die a thousand deaths, the prospect of being infected should still be a terrifying reality to survivors.

As this is not a common disease it's doubtful a standard FAK would contain what's necessary to rid the infection, however no special skills would be needed to administer treatment as the infection has not had time to progress to the zombification stage.

  1. Kill - not so bad, but incomplete. For example, you should specify how much AP it will cost, 1 like FAK's, or 10 like reviving?
