Is there anybody out there? It's been a while and everything seems to be boarded up tight, are any survivor groups keeping the area under control? I just woke up and I'm trying to make contact with my old groups... who's in charge of this area? --Daniel Kilbane 03:32, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hello Dan, I am the leader of the Outbreak Control Unit and we operate in Vinetown right now. I am sure that the groups list for Vinetown is out of date since i have never seen most of them ever in the area. However, M.E.R.C.Y. are a good group to be around in Vinetown. We happen to be allies with them because we have similar objectives. If you want to look for either of us, look around the cathedral, ling boulevard, goodford road, the local hospital or even the cork building. Us or M.E.R.C.Y. will always have operatives at these areas.
- Hey. I was the leader of the AoD, (or what was left of it) for a while before it just sort of faded out of existance. I don't know if there are any members still around or what's going on. All I know is that I'm stuck almost dead in my old haunt at Caunt Street PD. M.E.R.C.Y. is still around? I remember when they started, kind of suprised that they're still around but I'm not complaining. I listen to the old Caunt Street PD Radio frequency (27.32) and the old Distgruntled Heroes frequency (27.88) but have no way to transmit, currently. Send me a message here or over those lines if you can. --Daniel Kilbane 19:27, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Old Shit
Okay, being serious here. Who the hell is going to look at a "Barricading plan" when a huge zombie attack is being mounted? Also, moreso being worst case scenario both groups of the RRF show up. Survival instinct will kick in, and everything will most likely go to EHB, with no VS, and everyone without free running will be screwed.
Kudos to those who made the plan, but I'm just saying, that most people are not going to follow it in the event of a huge zombie massacre.
Also, while I do approve of having a revive point, we should have kept it secret between the members of the VSA and other survivor-friendly groups of Vinetown, because now that it's publicly known we are going to have revive-killers and rotters camping all over the damn thing.
By saying this as an individual survivor, and having nothing to do with my group by saying this statement, the Vinetown survivors should really recant their stance. EDIT: Also, while the VSA supports the Uniform Barricading Policy, and most survivor groups do, the way this looks seems like the VSA is shoving that policy and the barricading plan down everyone's throats here. Just thought I'd point this out.
EDIT EDIT: Once again I say this as an INDIVIDUAL SURVIVOR, not representing any group.DarkShines
I'd just like to state that in a full-scale zombie assault, they're ain't gonna be any buildings at EHB, let alone VSB. Mostly cause they'll all be DWO. --Singular quartet 02:28, 7 April 2006 (BST)
Yeah, true that on the zombie massacre thing.
But what about the state of the revive point? People are already complaining about rotters camping on it and revive-killers as well. Maybe you guys could change up the revive point weekly or something. Because at 30AP (20 to manufacture, 10 to use) per revive we can't afford to lose needles. DarkShines
The point of a Revive Point is that it's always there: A none drifting location that a person can always come to. -Singular quartet 01:44, 9 April 2006 (BST)
Yeah but a revive point can't be called a revive point if no one is able to get properly revived there. DarkShines
This is also true. -Singular quartet
why not just have your members only revive with a profile on hand so that you dont accidentally try to revive a rotter? yes, I realize that that means DNA scanning every zed at the revive point, but would you rather have to put out effort, or have a crapload of broken needles? -Matthew231
Props
Nice updates guys! o.o Keep up the good work. I really like the new charts and such.--GrayscaleRain 22:27, 1 August 2006 (BST)
Mall Tour '07
Such a pity, we thought your mall might have put up atleast a small fight but.. We were wrong. Our last 4 malls have been a breeze and all 4 have fallen within a day of the attack. Personally i was hoping for a decent seige but you guys didnt deliver. Well looks like the rest of your suburb will be eaten up before we move on. Have fun! Zaneus 03:32, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- I can't speak for everyone, but I know many people's strategy was to hide in the surrounding buildings and wait for you guys to move on, as was a viable tactic in the earlier malls. I guess you guys had the same idea, huh?--Grigori 23:35, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
RP listing
Hey, I'm tinkering with a new method of dealing with the RP listings from the List of Revivification Points, and I'm using Vinetown as an example (since my group serves its only listed RP). If you don't like it, or think it needs to be changed, please just discuss it, for the time being, as I need to keep it up for the folks who maintain the RP list page to take a look and see how the system works (or doesn't work). Thanks! --Morgan Blair 17:41, 28 August 2007 (BST)
Newb...
I am currently positioned somewhere in vinetown, and wish to join one of the Pro-surrvior groups in the town. By the way, where in town is the best place to find weapons(guns, axes, ect)?
- Malls. And there is no good groups there. Join the zombies or PKers. It's more fun and you can do a lot more. --Sonny Corleone RRF DORIS CRF pr0n 02:07, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- There are two groups in Vinetown as far as I am aware of, M.E.R.C.Y. and the Outbreak Control Unit. As for areas to find various items, any of the PD's can be utilized (presuming you do not have the Shopping and Bargain Hunting skills to utilize in the Mall). If you do not have Free Running, Caunt Street Police Dept [82, 67] & Hartleys Boulevard Police Dept [83, 68] should be maintained at VSB++ (thus allowing entrance). - Blessed Guard 04:20, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you, Blessed Guard. Your valued assistance, as always, is appreciated. Yes, there are a few good, active pro-survivor groups in Vinetown. In addition to those mentioned, we also have The Blackhawk Nation and MDK in the area. In addition to the PD's mentioned, Ling Blvd PD [82,63] is also designated as VSB+2. If there's anything else you would like assistance with, please don't hesitate to contact me.--Sister Rita 20:06, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Trying not to step on any toes...
I represent a small survivor group that's planning to operate out of the Vinetown area. We desire our own safehouse/HQ, and so as not to step on any toes, I thought I'd ask if there are any already barricaded buildings that aren't in heavy use that various locals wouldn't mind us using. While we'd favor a very strongly barricaded building, we can live with an extremely barricaded one, with those of us without FR operating out of Ling until they can get FR. Any suggestions? We were considering Attrill Bank or The Godfry Museum, but Attrill looks to be at least semi-occupied, though the wiki currently states it's empty.
- Besides the fact that not one single structure in Vinetown is barricaded right now, I don't know of anybody who claims either the Godfry Museum or Attrill Bank. I know that the Armored Squadron works very closely with Ling. While I'm not 100% sure about Godfry, I'm positive nobody would mind you in Attrill bank. Besides zombies, of course. I think I've seen you around, before, but no matter. More questions? --Jonorok 20:32, 14 April 2008 (BST)
