Hey.
Welcome aboard. I'll ignore the usual newb templates, as you obviously know what you're doing. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 19:53, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Sig help
Do you have {{SUBST:Nosubst|User:Pestolence/Sig}} in the nickname field and Raw signatures (without automatic link) checked off in your preferences? -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 16:10, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- No no, you want the raw signatures part checked. -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 16:38, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
On transclusions(whole page calls like sigs) include no spaces after the end of a noinclude tag, it seems to cause problems. Hopefully that has fixed the problem.--Karekmaps?! 16:42, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- :P] I had removed it and it was working on Rosslessness' page.--Karekmaps?! 17:13, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
No problem. :) -- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 16:49, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Really?
People have mentioned this before, but I've missed the point. How does it increase server load? --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 21:25, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- It wouldn't be that much of a problem IMO, the new speak function would only use up a little bit of bandwidth that isn't currently used. My main problem with that suggestion is that dead bodies can't hear, and talking to yourself is rather pointless. --Pestolence(talk) 21:32, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- It would be, if it wasn't for Iwitness , besides there's a general rule of thumb that you shouldn't suggest more than one thing at a time. Zombies can already hear radios and feeding groans when lying down, and for logic purposes I will be suggestion a zombies can hear everything suggestion. But one step at a time. Thanks for the quick response. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 21:38, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, I forgot about Iwitness. If you do make that suggestion, I'll probably vote Keep on it, but until then, I think my vote is justified. See you around. --Pestolence(talk) 21:47, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 21:52, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Thanks
thanks a bunch for that signature tip. i honestly didnt think anyone would even see my page. well, thanks again for the link.--Yungblood 19:47, November 9, 2008 (EST)
- No problem. --Pestolence(talk) 02:09, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
its no problem at all. after all, it is your page. still trying to figure out name, but i'll get there--Yungblood 20:04, 16 November, 2008 (EST)
- I Don't see that option, but can you put the codes on your own user page instead of making a new page altogether? Yungblood 20:16, 16 November, 2008 (EST)
- :) again, thanks Yungblood 7:44 20 november, 2008 (EST)
- Well, it looks like you got it all worked out. Congratulations! (although, if I may make a suggestion, I would use a different color than red, since the red you have now looks like a link to page with no content at first glance. Just a thought.) --Pestolence(talk) 17:01, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- yea, i was thinking about that, but i couldnt think of a color that fit the name yungblood, but im happy with what i have :).-- Yungblood 17:41, 22 November 2008(EST)
Was he your alt? You share quite a bit in common ;). Just a heads up, you might want to post a brief disclaimer on his page so people don't think you are a meatpuppet waiting to strike.
Oh, and some of your links are red on the main page.

Have I just found another here?. By the way, there is precedent for an unwanted user to self-ban them self. Although you will need the password, and then post a request on A/VB. If the sysop doesn't let you, then just put their pages up for A/SD.
Here is the precedent.

Hey
Hi there :) Soldier was a former member of the AZS, so that's the main reason why we formed an alliance between our two groups (and then the ZEMA).
I don't think he's an idiot though; he mainly doesn't understand how the wiki works. --Janus talk 12:39, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Re: Re: The Surrealists
First and foremost, my apologies to getting back to you so late. I've been taking a brief sabbatical, and will continue to do so for a couple more weeks. Nevertheless, if you'd like to contribute all the same, just let me know. We're not particularly anal about this whole "group association" thing. If I remember, Dali himself once said something along the lines of, "The difference between me and the surrealists is that I am a surrealist." Something like that, give or take. Anyway, we'd be glad to hear from you if you decide to spread a little Christmas chaos. 'Tis the season for chutney-slapping, after all... -- RHPK | burning chiton 08:42, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Yes I'm back
Have been for some time too, although my computer is still dead as a dodo. I just haven't asked to have the template removed from my userpage. I'll do that now. Thanks! - User:Whitehouse 19:08, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for the welcome and the reminder. - User:Whitehouse 19:12, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Back at you
One of these days, I' am going to report you for harrasment. One of these days! You better watch yourself!

Danger Reports
I plan on going through the suburb over the next couple of weeks updating as many as I can, and I think that other groups in the area will be glad to help out since they already monitor most of the buildings in the area.--Maverick 19:59, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Thanks man
Well if you did not read my talk page that soldier and you where posting on, I just wanted to say thanks for the hints to stay away from him. I dont think he is a bad guy but we ran a little background like check on him and ZEMA, and we came to the conclusion that there just not the kinda people we would like to work with so thanks for the hints. --Cortez250 04:11, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- No problem, glad to see you made this choice. Good luck to you and your group in whatever you do next. --Pestolence(talk) 04:13, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks and I would say you to but aren't you against survivors? bah oh well good luck man and stay safe.--Cortez250 04:36, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- Lol, yeah, I prefer to play as a PKer/Death cultist/zombie because I find that there are a lot of idiotic survivors out there. But I can appreciate good survivors, without good survivor groups, the game wouldn't be nearly as much fun to play. Stay classy, --Pestolence(talk) 15:13, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- lol alright then, well even though death cultist/Pkers are annoying at times I would have to say without them the game would be a little boring and easy, well have fun and good luck. --Cortez250 01:09, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Don't worry. I was holding off replying in the hope that he went away, as that guy is like a drama magnet. He thinks we are all members of the Mod Conspiracy.

Or not. I am from Argentina, and here (like many other wiki members, you included) we tend to use sarcasm. A lot of it. Seriously. So, I don't mean to offend you, but is the "Classy" comment a praise, or just good old sarcasm?

WHHHAAATTTTT!!!!!!!!!
What the heck are you talking about? I've heard this Soldier guy and copy his ways on organizing things, I really like how he does his work and can a guy try to use someones work here!?!
--Sergeant William Holt 01:45, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, OK, you're two different people...
- You're two different people who use the same organising system, the same language syntax, the same basic functional English errors (spelling and grammar) and the same IP address (you've got to love those wonderful little admin tools)?
- All this and you just so happen to show up the day after he cries and goes away? Yeah, you're different people...
- /sarcasm
- -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 02:00, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, we've have a lot in common (except the IP address). Only I've could have met the guy. Who is this Soldier guy anyway? Since he's in a Wiki Coma he wouldn’t be peeping around here much, so who is this Soldier guy? --Sergeant William Holt 02:04, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Methinks you doth protest too much, mate. You cannot deny the IP address issue, and while you may like the way he organizes his stuff, would you take that liking so far that you commit the same English errors and choose your words the same way the he (or should I say, you) does? Sorry, Soldier. Better luck with your next account. --Pestolence(talk) 02:31, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Someones gonna pay for this. Again with the threats! Didn't you learn this lesson already, Soldier?
- By the way, check this out. Especially Cheese's comment. --Pestolence(talk) 02:34, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Again with the censorship! Soldier, you need to learn a lot of things, and one of them is that there is no hiding stuff on the wiki. You remove it when someone calls you out on it? They can just go back through your history and pull it out of there. Sorry, but it looks like you're stuffing up this account too.
- I quote, from your journal: Someone claimed that I' am another user, what is going on with this wiki lately? So I copied a user's organizing method so what? It does not prove anything, I guest this Soldier guy ain't much popular around here much. So I checked on his User Page and he's in a Wiki coma and read what he has on there, I liked his organizing method so much that I used it for my personal use. Also I made my own prank page too. Blaming someone like Soldier is a bad idea in some cases so best to keep my cool.
- No one "claimed" anything. They proved it. The sysops can see your IP. You can't simply pretend that you are not the same person. (And the "roommate" argument's been used ad nauseam already, so don't even try that.) --Pestolence(talk) 02:46, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Okay, you know what’s the truth? Do you want to know the truth? I share the same Internet Protocol with Soldier! Not the roommate crap, I don't know who he really is. I use his IP address because I have got an internet connection with his network. I know it sounds crazy and you probably won't believe it but its true! Stop telling me its really Soldier, I bought the internet protocol on a garage sale. I' am not fucking kidding! And the threats are normal around these part, people do it all the time when they don't really mean it. As a result, your banned from my talk page so don't ever contact me again on the Soldier Crap because I bought his internet connection on a garage sale. That’s the truth! Don't expect nothing else because that’s the truth.
And that deletion on my journal, I've got rid of it because its causing too much trouble than all of this right now.
--Sergeant William Holt 02:58, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Now, I admit I don't know much about computers, but I know you don't buy IP addresses at garage sales.
- Also, you can't ban people from your talk page like I can, because you're not a 10th Level Wiki Arch Mage. -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 03:01, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Don't care if you are the owner of the wiki himself, how about we make a deal. We put all of this behind us and we never speak of this again, ever. Just stop telling me this and that, IP address can be easilly changed by putting in a new network. Ever thought of that? Oh, I've been looking on your talk page lately and said about a duck. Explain that later, right now back to the subject. I be willinglly to be left alone for the time being, stop calling me Soldier and stop bragging shit about what I'm doing and we woulden't get into arguments like this. I will leave you alone and let you do whatever you want but don't contact me again of this. So, do we have a deal?
- Oh, what are the exact numbers of my IP address anyway?
- And answer my questions on my talk page
--Sergeant William Holt 03:17, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- IP addresses don't change when you change your physical electronic devices. An IP address is an unchanging digital signature based on your geographical location. We are not making a deal, deals happen between equals, you have no power here. We won't be taking this to your talk page where you have deletion privileges, it will remain on neutral pages.
- The 'duck reference' as you so deftly put it is from Monty Python and The Holy Grail, go watch it and educate yourself. -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 03:31, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- I do believe IP addresses do change if you change an internet connection. Unless you've got a dynamic IP, that's it. If you are sharing a network with him, chances are you are sharing an IP, but you don't pick them up at garage sales (and, this said, I'm not an technology expert ether.) Linkthewindow Talk 05:10, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- IP will change when either your ISP assigns you a new static one, or when your dynamic one changes by itself (automated process by the ISPs server). If you connect via another network or change your ISP then you will also end up with a different IP (you will not get a deal with another ISP at a garage sale). The only plausible explanation (apart from them being the same person) is that him and Soldier use the same ISP and therefore are being assigned dynamic IPs from the same server (All this is correct I think, I'm no tech expert either, long live wikipedia). - User:Whitehouse 13:04, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Hooray censorship again! --Pestolence(talk) 03:25, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- It's his page, he has every right to. That's not saying it's a good thing (which is the reason why I don't even delete mild spam from my page.) Linkthewindow Talk 05:10, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
