Barricade policy of Junkyard 95,78
After dieing on the streets multiple times, i have changed the junk yard in penny heights to VSB so it can be used as an entry into buildings for wandering survivors --Bradley cosman{Z.E.S} 23:04, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- I see your change. Personally, I have no objections. Even though both Odo General and Langsford Drive are supposed to be VSB, both are usually overbarricaded. That's a different problem than the barricade policy, but an extra VSB doesn't hurt. But anyway, I'm nobody to object, really. I think this change should have been brought up here or in Talk:Penny Heights Barricade Plan before implementing, so the people who drafted the plan, and the local groups, get a chance to opine, if anyone still cares. Not that I expect dissention. I won't change anything, but I'll fix your edit in the junkyard's page. Cheers. --Hashk 23:36, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Penny Heights - Future Ghost Town
Are there any survivors or survivor groups left in Penny Heights? It's been smashed, ruined, and in the control of wandering mobs of zeds since the RRF tore through, and apart from a few solo operatives, I've not seen any kind of organized survivor presence. Is there even anyone left that considers Penny Heights home? --DubStreet 08:53, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Maintaining the Barricade Plan
A new barricade plan is all well and good; but who is going to maintain buildings to the proper barricade status? NorthEast Penny Heights is not being maintained to the plan. One character cannot implement the barricade plan. --Piker Pete 13:46, 9 June 2008 (BST)
- The other plan was a piece of shit, if people like a building caded a certain one they should alter the plan to reflect that, it's a community project that will only work if the community wants it to. Hence the other plan didn't.--xoxo 13:47, 9 June 2008 (BST)
- The pro-survivor groups of Penny Heights will maintain the plan. I thought that would be pretty obvious. Why wouldn't they? It's in all pro-survivor's best interests. The BBK are doing their best to maintain the proper levels and spread awareness through graffiti, metagaming, and broadcasts. As for the other groups, I'm sure they do the same, but in the end you'd have to ask them.--Nallan (Talk) 06:49, 10 June 2008 (BST)
New Penny Heights Barricade Plan
OK. Now I know this ain't gonna be pretty, but quite frankly this needs to change. It's ugly, hard to interpret, doesn't conform to the same style as most other suburbs' plans, isn't followed widely enough, and is outdated (no offense to the guy/(girl?) who made it).
Now, I just love to stir up controversy so here's my suggestion for a new barricade plan for Penny Heights. This is by no means a final copy. This is just to start the discussion, in much the same way as the revive points proposal was handled.

Suggested Changes
- Shift St. Martha's Church and Shelley Grove School EPs 1 square left. (suggested by: Lufio)
It's as UBP compliant as I could make it, without sacrificing convenience and keeping in mind some of Penny Heights' more unique geographical attributes. I've made sure there's at least 1 PD, Hospital, and Auto Repair at VSB for low level players. All but one of Fire Stations are at VSB, mainly for their lack of any really useful items, and because they attract zombie numbers but are despensible. Around 26% of the buildings are entry points (UBP compliant) and each mall has two Penny Heights-based entry points (one of which is the junkyard RP). Both NTs are at EHB. In all but maybe two locations one can find an entry point within 1 ap distance (most 9-block areas have at least 1 entry point). Odo General Hospital and Josephine General Hospital are at VSB and EHB respectively (which is what appears to be the arrangement at the moment, although the current barricade plan says differently).
I don't really know what else there is to say about it other than I think it looks waaaaay prettier than the Optimal Defense Plan that's barely in place as of now. This one is a lot easier to interpret and more people will be familiar with the layout. The plan can also be found here.
So constructively criticise away! All opinions welcome (except Finis')!--Nallan (Talk) 11:04, 1 May 2008 (BST)
- I really like it, its simple, well thought out and fits in with what is currently in place. Also i like what you've done with the junkyard RP, stylish.--xoxo 11:58, 1 May 2008 (BST)
- As the official self-appointed barricade enforcer for The Lumberjacks, I find no objectionable elements to your UDP Compliant ODP barricade map. --Piker Pete 00:38, 2 May 2008 (BST)
- Good work. Hell of a lot easier to read then the last one. Definitely a good step in making Penny Heights a safer and more newbie friendly suburb. --Scurley7 03:49, 2 May 2008 (BST)
- - I like the additions of a couple new entry points. I differ in opinion though in using St. Martha's Church and Shelley Grove School. Why not shift those entry points one building over to the left and make use of those two junkyards to the left and right of St. Martha's Church? Since those two buildings can't be Ransacked, why not leave them open? You'll be able to use the Legend entry for Unbarricaded Buildings two more times as a bonus. ^_^ --The Masked Lurker 04:37, 2 May 2008 (BST)
Sorry about the lateness of this, but as wiki representative for LMS I thought I'd put an input in. The 'cade plan looks good. However I agree with J3D on the whole junkyards as un'caded entry points, but as for the overall 'cade map it looks good. Acoustic Pie 19:10, 15 May 2008 (BST)
- How bout I move the church ep over to the junky and leave the school ep where it is. A happy medium.--Nallan (Talk) 07:45, 16 May 2008 (BST)
- Barricade Plan IMPLEMENTED!--Nallan (Talk) 08:49, 19 May 2008 (BST)
Dear Penny Heights
The BBK now have Forums. Everyone may join, and there is a special restricted zone for our allies only. We strongly urge other Penny Heights groups to join up and get a few people involved so that we can talk to you on a more tactical level. Thanks--CyberRead240 14:30, 6 April 2008 (BST)
- Danceyman from StarCake Faction has already contacted us on our email as the SCF diplomat to the BBK. So he should make an account if he reads this. And even if he doesn't. We should probably go onto the forums of some less wiki-active groups and ask them if they wanna make an account. K I'm really going now. For real.--Nallan (Talk) 14:45, 6 April 2008 (BST)
Colourful history?
I've been thinking of writing a good descriptive history for this suburb. A lot of other suburbs have histories and it just gives the place some depth and character. Anyone got any ideas? I'll get the guys from ALiM to come over here and see what they can come up with.--Nick 21:53, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah def see what LMS etc have to say on the topic as they probably have some 'real' history to include. maybe something about the Great Fire?--xoxo 06:42, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- - Wasn't there an earlier attempt to give some flavor text to Penny Heights? A history concerning a young woman named Penny who was wrongfully convicted of arson? Anyways, the text should still be somewhere buried in the Page History of Penny Heights. Why not cannibalize that information? I forget why someone deleted it though, so you may want to take those objections into consideration. --The Masked Lurker 13:16, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- oh yeah i remember ages ago. a hunt through the history revealed that it was this. Although i cbf finding out who wrote/deleted it. i'm guessing the reason was its a tad long...perhaps Penny started the great fire?--xoxo 03:41, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
- Ooo maybe. Although I think it's stupid they would name a suburb after a first name, let alone a woman's (haha, jokes guys).--Nick 05:57, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Yeah a History of the suburb seems nice, I actually made the history for Quarlesbank and The Elson Building, to tie in with it. But a history really adds a nice touch to a suburb. As for actual context I don't mind if you add something along the lines of the fire, or something new altogether, all the same a history should include some of the buildings and link in with some of the information already present. It was difficult trying to get everything to fit in like that with Quarlesbank so do beware if you are going to make a new one. Acoustic Pie 19:10, 15 May 2008 (BST)
Barricade Issues

Thank you
We would like to thank you for having us to dinner. This was one of the funnest suburbs we've chewed on. Your Zombie Killers put up a fantastic fight for us. Perhaps we can convince some of you to join us for a while in MOB? If you get kind of curious as to how the other side lives (or rots ;) ) you'll know how to find us. Cheers! -- FLZ (MOB)
