Pegrum Place Police Dept
Dulston [93,9] Basic Info:
|
Description
Pegrum Place Police Department is a police department located in the suburb of Dulston close to the southern border with Pescodside. The precinct is one of the primary resource buildings associated with the defense of Treweeke Mall, and in some ways is considered an extension of the mall itself.
Noted NecroTech scientist, Caleb Usher, stayed at Pegrum Place PD when he first arrived in Dulston, and it was here that he armed himself with his first shotgun and pistol... before realizing just how terrible a shot he was back then. A problem which has since been rectified with several visits to the precinct's firing range.
A group known as Bounty Hunters Unltd. used to set up in Pegrum Place PD as their peacetime headquarters.
Lately, the building has become a major target of vandals.
Mandate
- To protect Treweeke Mall at all costs.
- To serve and protect all survivors within a 3x3 block grid of the precinct.
- To maintain resource building barricades at Very Strongly.
- To maintain non-resource building barricades within a 3x3 block grid at Very Strongly, unless specified otherwise by the building's own barricade policy. These buildings will act as safe houses for Free Runners attacking zombie groups in the area.
Affiliates
To date police and military personnel stationed at Pegrum Place PD commonly works with survivors located in nearby resource buildings, namely:
- Treweeke Mall [92,7] – [93,8]
- The Waish Building [93,11], in Pescodside
- Brokbury Row Fire Station [91,10}, in Pescodside
- Sadley Way Fire Station [95,11], in Pescodside
Barricade Policy
This building must never be more than Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded. This barricade level has been set forth in the Dulston Optimal Defense Diagram, a strategic barricade policy that is enforced by all member groups of the Dulston Alliance. This building's purpose is to serve as an access point for all survivors and a safehouse for inexperienced survivors who do not possess the Free Running skill. Visitors are requested to never barricade beyond Very Strongly unless the building is currently under siege from 5 or more zombies. Note that any survivors associated with the Dulston Alliance have the right to lower the barricades back to Very Strongly if they discover them raised higher without just cause.
Current Events
November 5th, 2010 - The building has been repaired and caded to EHB by a member of Dead vs Blue. --Jaydepps 13:52, 05 November 2010 (EST)
September 24th, 2009 - Building in ruins. Doors wide open. Zombies inside. Zeds also control the nearby Treweeke Mall. --Mx311 18:30, 24 September 2009 (BST)
December 30th, 2008 - Dulston Alliance recon reported that Pegrum Place PD was secured. The police station was Extremely Heavily barricaded.
December 1st, 2008 - Rotten Ray, of the D.I.T.P.S, has reported that the police station is still ruined, with a lone zombie standing inside. The aftermath of the Militant Order of Barhah can still be felt across the suburb.
November 12th, 2008 - The Militant Order of Barhah have overrun the building and killed everyone inside.
November 9th, 2008 - Zombies, flush from victory at Treweeke Mall and the Whitlock Building, shambled into Pegrum Place PD and put it under siege. With 20+ zombies in their mob it wasn't long before they breached the building's barricades and devoured everyone inside who didn't manage to escape.
November 2nd, 2008 - The police station is Extremely Heavily barricaded and lit.--Linkthewindow Talk 05:46, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
October 21st, 2008 - Kittithaj, a freelance Dulston Alliance operative, reported, "The building was made into pinata by a zombie paratrooper. Fortunately, it's only VSB so I can get in (thanks to people who respect the barricade plan, even in time of crisis). Unfortunately, however, my attacks on the paratrooper missed most of the time (it happens a lot lately, only 50% of gunshots hit, and 25% for axe swings, something isn't right). So, I'm left with a paratrooper at 4 HP with another survivor. The quicker someone can come and finish it off, the better. Otherwise I'll wait a few hours before trying to kill it again."
September 14th, 2008 - The Electric Light Torchestra recon reported that the building was having problems with zombies. At this time there were 4 zombies outside and 2 zombies inside.
September 9th, 2008 - Mikhos, leader of Bounty Hunters Unltd., reported, "Pegrum breached. Again."
September 8th, 2008 - D.I.T.P.S recon reported that the police station was holding out, although nearby Treweeke Mall appeared to be about to fall to the zombie horde.
- Update: The station is currently being overrun with so far 7 casualties. -- Undefined
- Update: Mikhos, leader of Bounty Hunters Unltd., reported that the police station was holding, and he would be damned if it was going to fall on his watch. Bold words indeed.
July 20th, 2008 - Bounty Hunters Unltd., who are often seen guarding the Mall, have begun to tune the station's radio to 26.36 MHz for the betterment of local survivor communication.
July 3rd, 2008 - Survivors inside the police department heard the sound of a military helicopter passing over the building. It dropped a supply crate nearby. A lucky survivor broadcasted over the Dulston Alliance frequency that he had found 5 Necrotech syringes in it. -- Kittithaj 14:44, 3 July 2008 (BST)
May 19th, 2008 - Treweeke Mall and the police department have been subject to several waves of zombies over the past few days, usually numbering from about 12 to 15. Unfortunately, surviving these groups has been more due to luck then good defense. 07:36, 20 May 2008 (BST)
May 15th, 2008 - The Police Department has been enjoying safety the past weeks. Zombie Hunters Unltd. urge that survivors keep the radio tuned in to 26.36, and that barricades remain at VSB++.
March 26th, 2008 - Optimal barricades are now EHB, since at least 70 zombies are currently sieging the station. Despite this, the cades have been maintained fairly well, with about four break-ins and five deaths in the past day. -Rastilnmajer
March 13th, 2008 - The police station barricades are overcaded. Some of us baby noobs would appreciate them being a little lowered... I'm going to have to bash them down a bit! --Sergeant Bobbo
December 9th, 2007 - The police department is under very heavy assault from the Flowers of Disease. The once booming population is below 10 survivors, and it's not helping the worsening situation at Treweeke Mall. The entire area needs more guns, and FAKs, or bad things will happen. - Russell Oakley
September 4th, 2007 - In a glorious battle that shall be remembered for so long as these words remain here zombie resistance inside the police station was crushed during a daring survivor offensive. By its end all the zombies had been killed and their corpses dumped unceremoniously into the street. The building is now re-barricaded and powered. Long live the Dulston Alliance!
September 1st, 2007 - Pegrum Place PD is ruined, with zeds inside and out. Remember that when freerunning into a ruined building the action will dump you onto the street, so use caution when trying to enter Treweeke Mall through this or any other nearby building. --CloseCall 03:35, 2 September 2007 (BST)
April 23rd, 2007 - The Police Station is back in Survivor hands and barricaded with many survivors inside. Has generator and radio transmitter, but generator is currently out of fuel.
February 28th, 2007 - Treweeke Mall has fallen into zombie hands. In the carnage of the mall's collapse survivors have retreated to fallback buildings in the surrounding area, but Mall Tour '07 is not through yet. Unhappy with the weak resistance they encountered at the mall the horde marches now against new targets, among which include Pegrum Place PD! Survivors inside the building brace themselves against the fury of the horde.
Noted NecroTech scientist, Caleb Usher though pleaded with survivors to abandon the police station and instead defend either the Whitlock Building or the Waish Building (in nearby Pescodside). He insisted that at this stage the NT buildings served a vital role in restoring order and reclaiming the mall.
- UPDATE: Tragedy of tragedies! Pegrum Place PD has been overrun by the Mall Tour zombies. Survivors are asked to stay calm and evacuate in an orderly fashion, unless already dead. The Dulston Alliance has been informed of our situation, but they stress that currently the Alliance is working to maintain barricades on the lone remaining target the Mall Tour is still attacking, namely the Waish Building. As such, it is unclear as to when survivor support will come to clear the building.
December 7th, 2006 - FOXHOUND operative Jack Raikov found the building only marginally barricaded with a single zombie chewing on what was left. Long story short, the zed's dead, honey, and the 'cades are back to an ideal entry-point level.
December 1st, 2006 - So much for Jesus' journey...
November 29th, 2006- Police Officer Jesus and his disciple Superior010 were revived and continue persuading people to join Jesus' quest.
November 21st, 2006 - Police Officer Jesus was killed by a survivor and dumped outside. Now standing outside the police department with his undead disciple Superior010, they managed to destroy the PD's barricades.
November 20th, 2006 - A man named Police Officer Jesus was spotted preaching in the police department, saying stuff about peace and seemingly ignoring the zombie apocalypse. On this day, he spoke of a journey with his disciples which he said would take place on December 1st. Also, a man named John the Disciple has been seen traveling east speaking of meeting Jesus at Treweeke Mall.
October 19th, 2006 - The Shamblin' Crooners made their usual grand entrance and entertained everyone inside with their famous "break-in & concert" style of zombie rock. Some humans were eaten. Some zombies were shot. Bottom line, everyone had fun. Rock on Crooners, rock on...
August 28th, 2006 - The Last Stand issued an urgeant message informing everyone to stay away from the police station, with the words: "EVERYONE IS DEAD OR DYING". Survivors were asked to report instead to Blaise General Hospital instead.
August 27th, 2006 - All members of The Last Stand were ordered to report to Pegrum Place PD. Their goal? To help defend the mall against the Big Bash. All inexperienced members were told to stock up on First Aid Kits. After all, there is no such thing as too many FAKs.
June 29th, 2006 - Despite being adjacent to Treweeke Mall and packed with armed survivors, Pegrum Place PD falls within a day due to a concentrated assault from Dead Animals. All survivors still found inside are eaten.
February 20th, 2006 - Low zombie sightings, although a late NecroNet report issued by the Waish Building shows there is a single zombie right outside on our very doorstep of all places. After being alerted to this fact by Caleb Usher steps were taken to deal with the threat.
