Basic Info:

  • Office buildings owned by the company often associated with the zombie outbreak. From the outside, they are indistinguishable from other buildings, but characters with the NecroTech Employment skill are able to recognise them.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in NecroTech Buildings:
The NecroTech logo is set in the wall behind the front desk, and doors open onto powered-down computer rooms and laboratories."
  • If a generator is running inside the building:
"The NecroTech logo glows gently above the front desk, and doors open onto a number of brightly-lit laboratories and computer rooms."
  • NecroTech offices are tall enough for survivors to commit suicide from. They also provide a vantage point from which binoculars can be used.
  • Necrotech Buildings can be barricaded normally.

Description

NecroTech

The Dewes Building is a NecroTech facility located in the suburb of Santlerville. Staff at this building commonly revive zombies at nearby revive points. Being adjacent to Dowdney Mall ensures the Dewes Building has a plentiful supply of resources and survivors to maintain the building's equipment and facilities. It works in partnership with the only other NecroTech Facility in the suburb, The Hall Building and plays a key role in the revivification of unfortunate survivors recently turned into zombies. The building is actively maintained by ensuring a generator is installed in the building and it is fueled in order to allow NecroTech Syringes to be manufactured (or found) and to allow use of the NecroTech computer for a local view of the zombie population with NecroNet Access. Restocking and refueling the Dewes Building requires just a quick trip to the mall next door.

Reminder to all survivors: As the Dewes Building has now been designated a Rotter Revive Point (RRP), please do assist the poor zombies by reviving them rather than simply killing them. Zombies need love too.

Mandate

NecroTech staff continue to follow directive 42-A, issued by the head office on January 19th 2006, with the activation and manufacture of MK-II revivification syringes. While the cost in time and effort are currently high the certainty provided by being able to manufacture a constant stream of syringes has mitigated early concerns.

The activation of NecroNet with all NecroTech buildings has also allowed scientists to apply the DNA tracking research they have gathered to date. The field research staff stationed at the Dewes Building feel certain that they can crack the mystery surrounding the spread of the virus as well as help monitor aberrant zombie activity within Santlerville.

Rotter Policy

As of the 14th of September 2009 the Dewes Building has been designated a Rotter Revive Point by the Dead Bunnies. If you find the Dewes Building barricaded please feel free to tear down the barricades before taking a number from reception. We shall endeavor to have a member of the Dead Bunnies see to your reviving needs as quickly as possible. Once revived please feel free to use our nearby medical facilities and shopping center to stock up on the essentials.

If you urgently need a revive you could try notifying the Dead Bunnies on their talk page.

Barricade Policy

As this location is a Rot Revive clinic it should at all times be kept unbarricaded and powered, allowing the necessary access for the undead, and acting as a guaranteed entry-point for survivors. This is in accordance with the barricade plans set forth by local survivors, who routinely monitor the barricade level for this building. This building is meant to serve as a Brain Rot clinic for Malton's veteran zombie survivors, and thus requires the Free Running skill to be properly utilized as an entry-point.

NecroNet Reports

Zombie tracking reports are a free service provided by the NecroTech corporation to all its staff and local survivors in order to help facilitate quicker response times when managing zombie threats and to build a greater awareness of zombie migration patterns within the 9x9 block region around the Dewes Building. As a cautious reminder, only those zombies tagged with the DNA Extractor will appear on these scans, so actual numbers may vary when dealing with older zombies (i.e. Brain Rot).

Current Events

September 4th, 2009 - After resisting the siege valiantly for 5 days, with zombies kept coming, and survivors kept dying, the building finally collapsed. -- Kittithaj 21:20, 4 September 2009 (BST)

September 3rd, 2009 - The building was breached and retaken like a bloody tug-of-war. At the end of the day, it remains in human hands, with barricades and power up. The number of zombies is growing everyday. And the fate of the building is still uncertain. -- Kittithaj 20:57, 3 September 2009 (BST)

September 2nd, 2009 - The building was broken into by a dozen zombie. After a bloody battle, finally they were driven out again. But with the main bulk of the MOB moving in, and with the dwindling number of defenders, the question is, how long can it resist the constant siege like this? -- Kittithaj 19:49, 2 September 2009 (BST)

August 31st, 2009 - The building was broken into by about 15 zombies, the MOB vanguard, around midnight, Malton time. It was even reported as ruined at one point. But at the end of the day, the building stayed in human hands. -- Kittithaj 17:05, 31 August 2009 (BST)

August 16th, 2009 - After the Dead Bunnies left Santlerville, local survivors quickly recaptured, repaired, re-barricaded, and re-powered the building. It is now operational. -- Kittithaj 05:30, 17 August 2009 (BST)

History

News older than one month should be moved here.

June 30th, 2009 - A new siege has happened. Dewes building gave up a good fight, but in the end they lost. The Dewes Building currently has 40 zombies inside, with dozens of survivors. The zombie don't appear to be attacking, as only the doors are open, there is no generator, and barricades are down. If local survivor groups would get to the Dewes Building and get rid of them, we should be safe. All People in Dewes that think the building is no longer a safe place, go to the Hall Building. It is enter-able, and well barricaded. DEATH TO THE DEAD BUNNIES! -- Justinbronze 01:27, 1 July 2009 (BST)

June 21st, 2009 - The bloody and prolonged siege was finally lifted. The zombies, numbering from 50-80 during the siege, were all scattered, probably to find an easier target. The bravery of all defending survivors who fought and die in this battle will be remembered for a long time. -- Kittithaj 17:27, 21 June 2009 (BST)

March 31st, 2008 - Sacked by an overwhelming force of zombies looking to cut off supplies of syringes to Dowdney mall. The survivors fought bravely, but they were quickly outnumbered 5:1. They never really had a chance. -- Nitro378 18:09, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
