Description

Malton Police Department

Hindmarsh Row Police Department is a police station located in suburb of Rhodenbank. The department is named after the legendary Rhodenbank Chief Albert Hindmarsh, who managed under his reign of the Rhodenbank police district to expose the Russian mafia in Eastern Rhodenbank, and managed to lower muggings in the club district by nearly half.

The station was re-named to honor his death, only a couple of days before the outbreak. Post-outbreak, the station was one of the quieter police departments in Rhodenbank until early-May 2006, when the Drunken Dead moved into the area and wiped out a number of TRPs and bars. The Drunken Dead began to attack the Hindmarsh Row station and the surrounding buildings on May 2nd, 2006. The Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps, with assistance from non-aligned survivors, held the station for almost a month. Right when the Drunken Dead horde slowly began to sober up and disperse, the Pwotters joined in the siege in mid-May. Chatter on their forum conclusively proves their use of human spies to take down the barricades; this and other shady tactics were the key to the eventual zombie 'victory'. Despite that, Hindmarsh was back in human hands within hours and remains a bastion of security--and more importantly, a good place to stock up on ammo--in the fair suburb of Rhodenbank.

Mandate

Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps

1) To serve and protect all survivors within a 3x3 block grid (south) of the precinct.
2) To maintain resource building barricades at Very Strongly (VS+2).
3) To maintain non-resource building barricades within a 3x3 block grid at Extremely Heavily. These buildings will act as safe houses for Free Runners attacking zombie groups in the area.

Barricade Policy

Please keep this building at VSB.

This building follows the barricade policy set forth in the Rhodenbank Barricading Plan. Created by the Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps, the policy dictates that almost every tactical resource point in Rhodenbank should only be Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded and no higher, so as to be accessible to inexperienced survivors who do not have the Free Running skill. Visitors are requested to never barricade past Very Strongly unless the building is currently under siege by zombies. Note that members of the RCDC have the right to lower the barricades to Very Strongly if they discover them raised higher without just cause.

Current Events

November 17th, 2009 - Hindmarsh is repaired when I woke up this morning so I hopped over to take a look. Doors wide open, no gen, dead body and Zomburrito inside. Dumped body, ignored the rotting corpse and barricade the station to HB++ then left again since low on AP. --OO Willie 01:55, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

September 2nd-17th - Feral zombies from the surrounding area congregated at Hindmarsh for most of the late summer. Despite at least two break-ins and ruinings, the survivor population was able to mainain overall control and, sometime between the 16th-17th, the horde dissapated.

February 29th,2007 - While it has been some time since news was reported about the station, it is currently under the control of survivors and monitored by the RCDC.

September 7th, 2006 - Hindmarsh Row PD, after a long period of survivor control, was again the target of another lightning attack, but this time by the Big Bash. This massive zombie horde sacked the building in less than a day with over twenty zombies successfully having shambled inside and destroying survivor resistance before anyone could even react.

June 24th, 2006 - After several counter-attacks Hindmarsh Row PD is finally back under control of survivors, with the last of the RRF zombies having been beaten back.

June 10th, 2006 - The Ridleybank Resistance Front Group 0 assaulted the police station using a lightning attack with a horde of over twenty zombies. The horde managed to successfully destroy all human resistance inside the building, leaving only corpses behind.

May 28th, 2006 - Zombies finally manage to eradicate all life inside the police station, yet were unable to prevent its swift return to survivor control soon afterwards.

May 26th, 2006 - Hindmarsh Row PD is now the official command post of the Liberation of Crossman Department organization, though they operate out of nearby buildings to lower its visibility.

May 25th, 2006 - After what some believed would be the never-ending siege, Hindmarsh PD finally fell before the combined might of the Drunken Dead and the Pwotters. All but a handful of survivors fled as the barricades fell for the last time. Chants of "Baarh ahn brahnz!" and "GRAB MANBAGZ!" still echo across Rhodenbank during the after-party.

May 22nd, 2006 - The incursion into the PD from the day before was dispersed, once again by the hard work of survivors in the area. Twenty days after the attack began the building still held.

May 21st, 2006 - Things began to look grim as nine zombies, probably affiliated with the Drunken Dead, broke through the station's barricades and ate many braainz inside.

May 18th, 2006 - The zombie group known as the Pwotters join the Drunken Dead in their assault on Hindmarsh Row PD.

May 2nd, 2006 - Zombies from the Drunken Dead began to attack Hindmarsh Row PD.
