The Brain Museum is a Specimen museum located in the suburb of Rhodenbank. The museum was known for possessing one of the world's largest collections of well-preserved, sectioned, and stained mammal brains. Visitors would walk down the museum's many halls and be able to view different displays or photographs of brains from over 100 different species of mammals (including humans) which together represented over 20 mammalian orders. The stained sections that were of special interest included: rewil, Humans, Chimpanzees, Monkeys, various Rodents and Carnivores, California Sealion, Florida Manatee, Big Brown Bat, American Badger, American Raccoon, Yellow Mongoose, Zebra, Cow, and the Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin.

The Brain Museum, where zombies come for the brains, but stay for... well okay, the brains.

Under the care of the museum's Director, Dr. Adrianne Nono, the Brain Museum had made many items from its collection available for use by educators, scientists, and scholars worldwide through the use of computer scanning technology. Those who could not visit the collection directly could simply use the internet to retrieve any required images for their research. The collection contained both normal, pathological, and comparative specimens.

While not a popular museum before the "Malton Incident", after the outbreak the museum became a very dangerous location for survivors. This was because zombies, drawn to the smell of so many brains, would travel from miles around to try and break into the Brain Museum so they could snack on the brains. As such, survivors often did not stay overnight in the building for fear they might be added to the menu.

Historically the museum is famous simply for the fact that in late-December 2006 it became the final resting place of the now disbanded zombie horde known as Shacknews. They were considered one of the most, if not the most, powerful zombie hordes ever to walk the streets of Malton; few survivors will ever forget the terror they once spread, even at the mere mention of their name.

Barricade Policy

In accordance with the will of the Prophet, this location should remain un-barricaded with doors wide open and ruined at all times. The purpose of this building is to allow all citizens, regardless of their class, to share their knowledge with and learn from others. Citizens are also advised to baste or marinate themselves if they are tasty.
