know what you are talking about Short-wave Radio Info
This group or location has a dedicated radio frequency

Frequency: 26.27 MHz
Transmitter coordinates: [38,86]

We are...

The Dartside Whiners. Fed up of moaning a zombie got your shoe? Missing the door to your local Police Dept? Take it to them and fight back!

Location

Northeast Dartside (primarily).

Objectives

To secure the area of Dartside and establish a defense that will be maintained, rather then moving the whole force to another surburb. However, once we have enough numbers, a section of the group will attempt to get a hold on Mockridge Heights, and then take it over.

Allegiances

We are always looking for alliances, so if you're interested, let us know.

Enemies

PK'ers list

Groups

Spies

Stances

Possible spies should be accessed before action is taken. Any PKers will be shot and killed on sight. The Uniform Barricading Policy should be supported in most cases. Cemeteries to be treated as revive points and tagged so, if not already.

Revive points in Dartside

Sgpicon1.gif Sacred Ground Policy Supporter
This user or group supports the Sacred Ground Policy and acknowledges that all Cemeteries in the city of Malton are considered Revivification Points.

Thanks to the Regulators, there are working revive points located at;

1. Abarrow Monument on the north side of town [37,81]

2. Cemetery by St Galls Church S/W of town [32,87]

As for us Whiners, I propose a 2-block area to be tagged for revive points. They are both adjacent to Bagnall Building, they are:

Horsford Road [35, 82]

Mapledoram Avenue [37, 82]

At the minute...

We're looking especially for survivors that are happy to guard buildings and medics and scientists to join up. However, all are welcome, just drop me a line at my mail address.

Newest Member

And the most important too. lutari, the fiend who has been buggering us up the arse like there was a bar of chocolate at the end of it, has joined The Dartside Whiners. This is a massive coop, for all in Dartside.

Recruitment

Post this in buildings (as speech - say it). Copy and paste.

The Dartside Whiners - wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Dartside_Whiners - are currently looking for new members, email danfalzon@gmail.com and check out the wiki if you're interested. Thanks for reading.

Ambitions

To take the namesaked Dann Hotel in Stanbury Village as a base someday.

Tagging

Unless it's a tag showing it's a HQ, revive site or a warning of PKer's using their names, tagging is fine anywhere. Add this tag to your groups section for ease.

  • wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Dartside_Whiners

Make sure it's that above tag, or it won't fit on the wall/headstone.

  • I do, but I think it's a bit of a waste of time. Far too much spam. I'm thinking if we'll bother with it. I'll let you guys know. --Dann 15:21, 4 June 2006 (BST)
  • Got Radio Operation skill, sent my first broadcast. Anyone hear it? Anyone even have a radio? I don't. --V2Blast 19:49, 4 June 2006 (BST)
  • Revived by Bocaj. Oh, and some news:
Perhaps to prevent interference with their own communications, the military have altered their radio jamming in such a way that only experienced radio operators can broadcast in the 26.00-28.00 MHz band. The 28.01-29.00 MHz range has been opened up for free public use.
  • Radio Operation (Player is able to broadcast within the restricted 26.00-28.00 MHz range.) - in miscellaneous skills
--V2Blast 16:13, 3 June 2006 (BST)
  • In case you missed the news, here it is:
The military have stopped jamming short-wave radio frequencies across the quarantine area. Handheld radio receivers previously discarded as useless will now be able to pick up broadcasts from transmitters installed in buildings, across a range of frequencies.
As it says above, our frequency is 26.27. The nearest transmitter is at Shapr but tuned to 26.57. I'm retuning it to ours. It'll be changed back if necessary (it's not on the official list). Yay for radios. Oh, and general Dartside frequency is 26.24. Also moved the radio box to the top, it would be nice if someone could fill in Shapr's coordinates and find a way to display the radio box under the group box instead of next to it. Thanks. --V2Blast 02:44, 2 June 2006 (BST)
